Thanks for reading and thanks for any and all insight!

Normally I don’t offer my opinion on these chance me threads but my daughter almost went to Brown (as an athletic recruit) so we looked closely at the school.

Test scores and grades are good enough, I think.

Maybe your music will help you stand out.

One area you might what to improve is your Leadership resume. Being a member
of an organization isn’t leadership. Being President is.

One thing any Brown student will ask you on this forum:

Why do you want to go to Brown? Brown accepts students who are really obvious fits, who are really aware of how Brown’s unique offerings can benefit them.

The rest of your resume/whatever the info you’ve given should be called is spot-on. Your profile matches most of the students who get in-- and a good chunk of those who don’t get in.

The way you can make the difference is by identifying what Brown means to you, and demonstrating that in your application.

Your stats fit 2 groups:

1- those that were accepted into Brown
2- those that were rejected from Brown.

Brown rejects 75-90% of applicants that have superb stats: Valedictorians, Salutatorians, those with 800s on Math or CR SATs . . . Brown said no to about 70% of those with a 36 on the ACT.

The Messages
1- GO For It . . . but do so knowing that that Brown is a Reach for almost everybody who applies.
2 - Find and Love Thy Safeties
