Please chance me for Cornell!!! :)

SAT: Total - 1420, CR - 620, M - 800
SAT II: M2 - 800, PH - 690, CH - 690
GPA: 3.71 (UW), 4.61 (W)
Rank: Top 3% (Very competitive public high school)
Course Load: Will have completed 10 AP courses by graduation - (Senior Year - 5 APs)
ECs: Very strong including work experience, music, varsity sports, leadership, etc.
Essays: Very strong in my opinion (very subjective of course, but nevertheless decent to say the worst)
Recs: Amazing! (This includes teacher recs (3) and counselor recs (1))
Interview: Went very, very well!!!
Hook at Cornell: Uncle attended - not sure of legacy impact RD but nevertheless

Note: White, Male, CT

Also, if it helps at all in gauging my chance, I was deferred UPENN ED.

Thanks so much!

You WILL find out tomorrow, you know.

But-- why not.

Chances.

What college have you applied to at Cornell.

Your SAT-CR is a rather low for Arts, but with the SAT-M 800, might be ok for Engineering.

Your GPA is at the low range of acceptances (but still in the range).

Cornell does not consider you a legacy unless you had a parent, grandparent (or, I think great grandparent). Uncle does not meet the definition (though it won’t hurt).

Since nearly all applicants say they have great essays, recs and ECs, I can’t comment. If yours are, you may have a shot. If not, I’m not sure that anything other than the 800 M really stands out.
