Common App essay was the best I've ever written, worked on it for several months, very persuasive, received very well by my english teachers
My brother did my peer rec, he is a very persuasive writer and I trust that it was a high caliber essay
I am assuming my teacher recs were 9/10's</p>

<p>3 Years of Varsity Crew- 20hrs per week, took 3rd place last year at the central US championships (nine states competiting), Given the 'most valuable rower' award</p>

<p>I attend a fine arts academy situated within my high school, I am a classical guitar major.
My ensemble took 1st place at the Hill Country National Classical Guitar Competition, the largest high school competition in the US.</p>

<p>As a soloist I have received the highest possible ratings at 5 UIL and school district competitions, and I was featured on TV once.</p>

<p>That GPA shouldn’t bother you too much. Unis love upward trends, and you seem like a very solid applicant for these schools.</p>

<p>I think you have it in the bag… ^like he said- great upward trend… killer ACT and ECs plus the added advantage of ED… Plus legacy… Can’t go very wrong i would say…

<p>How is your GPA weighted?</p>

<p>I’m not sure what innovian means by “solid”. You are obviously well-qualified, but I don’t see much in your extracurriculars that distinguishes you from so many other applicants that also are involved in clubs, etc. Legacy helps, but contrary to what a few others seem to imply above, it’s not something that pushes you from “reject” to “admit”. It is not a safe bet for you. But definitely keep going.</p>

<p>I predict you’ll get in. The grades and scores are good, ECs are decent, and you have the hook to pull you in, as well as the ED advantage.</p>
