Thank you for offering a little insight and for you assessment of my chances. I will definitely keep you suggestion in my when I apply and start receiving news.
Thanks again!

I’m agreeing with the match/reach ratings in general. You definitely need to ace that SAT if you want it to be proportional to your jesuschrist ECs and GPA though (bro dat GPA is insane). Volunteering leaves a little to be desired but I think colleges will recognize that you’re extremely involved in other things, so it shouldn’t be too huge of a big deal.

Just ACEEEE that SAT man. Study hard, good luck! Chance me?

Thanks so much!
I’m dedicating a large part of my summer to study for bio and possibly ush. Still kind of weighing my options and deciding which subjects to showcase.
How easy would the lit SAT be if I got a 5 in Lang?

As a parent of Princeton/Duke students this thread caught my attention. You appear to be a highly qualified applicant. I expect you’ll have very good options. Good luck.

@sherpa
Thanks! Seeing how your kids went to such great schools, it’s a little comforting for you to say that I have a decent shot.

sorry! bumping!

A 2270 SAT 1 is perfect; some people here are insane.

I put Duke as a match because their acceptance rate is 5-7% higher and their lowest 50% SAT scores are 100 points lower.

She’s average at Princeton and Columbia, but definitely well above average at Duke.

needless to say your gpa test scores and EC are awesome, esp with your leadership role in your EC. valedictorian, etc. (1/xxx)
all these top schools are low reaches at best for everyone.

you GPA is lowest for Princeton (~50%) which is probably your highest reach.

Princeton- reach
Columbia- Low Reach
Duke- low reach

chance back as u said!

would the difference between a 3.98 and a 4.0 matter that much?
my only B was in precalc and it was for one semester. my teacher says she might raise it if i do well in calculus and on the math ii sat, which i did. should i try and convince her or just leave it as is?

bumping again!

Princeton: reach
Columbia: low reach/reach
Duke: high match/low reach

Why the bumps?
