Varsity Tennis Player all four years in HS. Voted MVP freshman and sophomore years.
This year, I am the team captain.
But outside of tennis at school, I have been playing for almost 12 years. I really love it haha.

I am a female, from India. But I have lived in the US practically my entire life. And I currently go to a high school in my state that is the 2nd largest. My senior class has about 500ish people in it. I want to be a doctor, so my plans for college right now are to do the Premed track, and double major in either psychology or neuroscience and buisness.

I have one more specific question, and that is I got a C my junior year in my AP Calc class and I was wondering if anyone knew how much that would affect my admission into colleges??

PLEASEE HELP ME OUTT!
Thanks haha

Since no one has responded yet, I’ll put in my two cents! I think you look great, and your activities make you sound not only smart but interesting as well! I’m not sure how that C will be assessed, especially since you got either a 4 or a 5 on the AP exam. With that score, plus a 760 on the math sat 2, I would think they would not worry too much about the C in AP Calc. Also, at most high schools it might be better to be in the top 10% or even 5% of your class, but I get the feeling that your school is pretty rigorous and so top 15% is probably pretty good! So, I say “in!” to you as an ED candidate! Good luck!

thanks 2flipper2. Anyone else ?

forgot to mention my CR & Math on SAT I (780 & 800). I am hoping my Math 800 would balance the AP calc poor performance.

Have you visited/demonstrated any interest? This isn’t necessarily a make-or-break point but it could end up influencing a final decision between two applicants. Of course, applying ED shows interest :)

Nina1228, good point. But unfortunately I haven’t visited them due to distance…but attended local info sessions and will be meeting their rep at my school’s visit in 10 days.

That should help. I think if you apply ED you’ve got a really good shot

I agree. If a had to bet (and i usually don’t), i’d bet you get in ED.
Good luck!

Thx WCASparent.

Followup -What do u all senior folk think if I went RD ? I am just wavering todo ED…as I think may be if I wait MAY b able to get some merit scholarship with other colleges (Case, USC …) and that could reduce parent’s burden!! Is it really worth to throw away potential $$$ fr love of my college ?? Ughh…hate these dilemma !

I don’t think there would be much different between ED and RD for you. I think you will get in RD. Then you can compare all the schools and costs at once.
