Alright, I'm female, Cuban, and I want to apply for 10th grade to Phillips Exeter. (And maybe Andover.) I have a 99th percentile overall on the SSAT, I go to a military school, I have a leadership position (my rank), I have straight A's, I've lettered in track, cross country, and ROTC. I also made all-conference for cross country, even though I don't think I'm that amazing. I have sports for an hour and a half every day after school, I'm taking all AP's, so I really stand out from my friends, and I'm in Precalculus while I'm only a freshman. so it's a class of giant seniors, PG's and me, a short little girl.

Please tell me how to increase my chances of getting in, like what I should try to emphasize. My teacher recs should be really good, and I'm a pretty awesome writer, so my essays should be pretty good too.

“I’m a pretty awesome writer”
Yeah, right. :D

If so, what have you accomplished with your writing?

I’m sure there’s something that makes you super unique as an individual besides taking all AP classes with PG’s and seniors. Community work?

thescarecrow - You might get more replies if you post your query to the [**chance[/b] sub-forum](Prep School Chances - College Confidential Forums). Good luck!

The problem is that there aren’t many chances to do community service at a miitary school because it’s well, a military school. Only the people in trouble do commmunitry service to work off the demerits. Sports after school is really the only extracurricular thing they offer. (No clubs or anything like that.) Is it too late to start now?
Also, I’ve reposted this in the chance sub-forum (didn’t know it existed until now) so you can reply to me there if you want to.

your in, dont worry about it
