I understand that your ACT score maybe depressed because you are not a native speaker. But I am surprised by the chem. Did you send that? I say surprised because you are valedictorian of a very large school so I’d expect you to have nailed the SAT2’s for whatever you took.

Um, what? 700 is a perfectly fine, if not exceptional, score on an SAT II. Congrats on your achievements. You seem like you’ll have a good shot academics-wise. The ACT score may be a bit of a barrier, but if English isn’t your first language, universities are usually very understanding in that respect. Good luck!

I hope adcoms take into account the reason for your only weakness and hopefully you had described that in your essays (that being a recent immigrant). You definitly deserve to be admitted to all, and I hope they see that!

700 chemistry is 56th percentile

Oh, is it? I beg your pardon then. I was simply considering the standard scores for SAT IIs on average.
