Thanks ThatGuyOverThere :). How am I looking admissions wise?

You can’t convert ACT scores to SAT scores like that… The conversion is based purely on percentile, not difficulty of actual performance. GT doesn’t look at your science of reading on the ACT, so recalculate based on that.

May2013SAT what do you think are my chances if GT only looks at my 34 and 33

What is your english/writing combined? The composite score is calculated by averaging each section, so I would find out your english/writing and average that with the math and english sections. If you’re between 32 and 34(which it probably will be unless you bombed the writing portion) then you have a good shot.

Also, the makers of the ACT had a conversion for ACT scores into SAT scores. I forgot where the link was but the first few were,

36 = 2390 (more people get 36’s than 2400s)
35 = 2320
34 = 2250
33 = 2170
I forgot the rest, but I predict that you will be about 34 if your writing matches up with what you got on the english section. These were based on percentiles I believe.

uhhh I have a 31 combined english/writing…I got an 8 on the essay.

Then it’s a 33 if GT will calculate it the way ACT does while taking out science and reading. Your test scores are probably fine. Do you know what your UW is on a 4.0 scale?

3.82-my school doesn’t weight our grades

GPA’s a little hard to analyze since it really depends on how well your doing in the context of your school. The test score is the only thing we can really determine is good enough, which it is. Your activities look good. I guess if your essays are good then you should have a good shot.

thanks a lot dirtysock45, I appreciate the time and effort you put into helping me out. Have a good one

You got it they will see a 2180 as a test score and ur extra curriculars are good enough. Plus I heard last year the ea acceptance rate was almost 50% so that is pretty great

Didn’t I say 2170…
