Hey! I’m applying to Mount Holyoke too but in ED1. I think you definitely have a good shot since MoHo doesn’t care much about standardized tests. Your ECs are much stronger than mine. Btw, good luck and hope that we can meet together as MoHo’s Class of 2025!

Mt Holyoke costs $50,000 per year. What is the value added there that you won’t see at a university for half that price?

@MassPE

You joined CC 5 days ago and you’ve left two similar comments on different Mt. Holyoke threads. Tuition, room and board at Mt. Holyoke is roughly $70,000 which is in line with every other liberal arts college. Why are you targeting this college?

The OP is asking about her chances for admission; she is not seeking your advice as to whether or not the college is a good value.

On another thread you gave SAT score averages by race which was offensive and unsolicited.

What is your agenda?

@sdbebbxjndwkj

Your strengths are your ECs, your job, the rigor of your classes, and your 1st gen status. Your GPA might be on the low side (admitted students to the class of 2025 had an average GPA of 3.84). Do you know what your weighted GPA is? If you’ve been taking mainly gifted classes, it’s probably quite a bit higher when weighted.

I think you have a really good chance of being admitted, especially applying ED2. Be sure to submit a great essay and be sure to talk about job and any family responsibilities somewhere in your application. Having such great ECs while working a job and taking gifted classes is really impressive. Best of luck to you!

@GoldPenn, I really do appreciate your input. People like @MassPE need help.
The high school I attend does not offer a curve on gifted classes or even honor classes, only AP classes. 87.3 is actually my weighted GPA.

@juliaho3012, best of luck to you also! I viewed your question on your chance at Mount Holyoke and I also think you have a great shot at MHC. Your grades were very impressive!
