My SAT scores are pretty low... do I still have a chance?

You need 3 subject tests so that’s going to be a problem for you

I thought the 3 subject tests were optional?

With this candidates SAT Scores, he will most likely need one or two more. The math only counts as one. The Math 2 is probably better than the Math 1 even with the 680.

They are STRONGLY Recommended, but if you look at Decision threads, people got in even if they submitted one, two or even none. People with mid 600’s and low 700’s also got in.

With your current academic results, GU is a reach without any hook. Most applicants have taken 3 SAT2 ( with over 730 each subject, to be safe) and for SAT 1, they only look at the Reading and the Math sections, so in your case, you have 1360/1600 ( Need above 1400 to be safe).

Your academic stats can be OK for recruited athletes. Check with the coaches if you are good enough to be recruited for their swimming team.

LIke the ivies nowadays, GU is a reach for even the most qualified applicants. Just try your best and improve your scores again if its MSB is your top choice.
