PLEASE CHANCE ME FOR MY DREAM SCHOOLS...

hello guys,

if someone could chance me for my dream schools: stanford, UC Berkeley, UCLA, Cornell, MIT, that would be really cool.

My credentials:

-gpa: 3.75ish (UW) (i messed up 9th grade hard, I got like a 3.0 there, in 10th grade I got like a 98% average, 11th around the 95% scale) (hopefully my dream schools don't count/look at grade 9). Still gotta do 12th grade.
- IB programme, both years
- high school ranked about top 100-150 in the nation (USA)
- perfect score on AMC 10, 12, which is the American qualifier for the USAMO (american math olympiad)
- did well in the USAMO, was on the IMO team for the US (got a silver medal T_T)
- 2350 SAT

extracurriculars:

-won tons of math competitions in the school, got a few math awards (grade 10, grade 11, grade 12),
-academic achievement award for gr 10, gr 11, and grade 12 (highest average in those years)
-did cross country and track, got top 10 in a couple of city-wide competitions
-created my own online business when I was 15 years old, which had reputation management as a service, worked with many clients, maintained professional business with other clients, outsourced a lot and in general was quite successful. I was making approx. 7k/month on some occasions, so that was really cool. Shows my ideas of being creative, resourceful (I started the business with approx $20 in my bank account, so I certainly made the most of it!)
-excellent teacher recommendations
-flew to Africa to help impoverished children learn English, made games for them, played with them, in general raised awareness for poor communities in such areas.
-proficient in English, Russian, French, some Japanese.
-was enrolled in a special university-level courses program during 10th and 11th grade, attended university lectures and such to learn more information. I actually did fairly well!
-Volunteered at hospitals every weekend for a few hours (120 or so hours)
-Tutored children on weekends as well in math, science.
-Was on the quiz bowl team for 3 years, we travelled to some state-wide competitions and placed decently well.
-Participated in an engineering competition held at a certain university with the Robotics club, doing fairly well. We placed 1st a couple of times, so we've certainly laid our mark upon that.
-President of the math club.

Race: white
Income: 70k~ish

That's all. Please chance me, I'd appreciate it. Hopefully my GPA isn't too awful-- I did mess up my 9th grade year, but that doesn't mean too much because 9th grade is 9th grade, it's a new adjustment and such. From 10th grade and on, I did excellent.

Thanks!

Oops also forgot I was member of the debate team and went to multiple debate competitions. Won one of the competitions with our team, did okay in the others. I attend regularly, so I’m def. a part of the team.

Your EC’s and SAT are incredible. Your GPA is a tad low (because of freshman year at least you show improvement over the years). You have an excellent shot at UCB, UCLA, and Cornell but less of one at MIT an Stanford just because of how competitive things are (but still have a good chance for them). Apply EA to those two! Please chance me back!

Thanks mate, I most definitely will.

bump

Stanford and all the UC’s don’t even look at 9th grade so that’ll help. Everything else looks good and USAMO is amazing

I don’t believe you. You typed a crying face for winning a silver medal at the IMO. Out of the 250,000+ students who participate in the AMC 12, only 6 kids (with a single digit) make it all the way through AIME, USAMO, and MOSP to be selected for the US IMO team. You obviously do not understand the gravity of your alleged “accomplishment,” as anyone of IMO calibre would. What leads me to further question the validity of this claim is that Joshua Brakensiek, the only silver medalist for the US team this year, is a Davidson fellow. That is not information you just forget to include. You are obviously not him. Thomas Swayze, the only caucasian US IMO silver medalist in 2013, is a sophomore at Carnegie Mellon. You said you still have 12th grade to go. The only silver medalist on the US team in 2012 was Asian. The US team won all gold in 2011. There were 3 silver medalists in 2010, but they all happened to be Asian—plus they have all graduated by now. So, Phonyboy. I think you’d better wait in line just like the rest of us.
