Please chance me for Northeastern!! + questions

Hi! I’m gonna be a senior this fall and I attend a well-known high school that offers a lot of honors and AP classes. It’s pretty competitive and I don’t really ask around but I’d say my GPA is just about average while my ACT score is slightly above average for my school.
I want to go into the pre-med program and major in finance and econ OR accounting (I think, feedback on this too please!!). I’ve always wanted to go into sports medicine (and become an NFL physician) but plan b (in case I find I don’t like medicine/can’t handle it) is to go into finance because my dad and sister are in the field and math comes pretty easily to me

Extracurriculars:
With senior year, I’ll have four years on the swim team (just as a member, no leadership)
Junior year:
Entered a city-wide business competition and got to the finals with my team (4 members, I was “CFO”)
Conducted research on lung cancer under a mentor at a local university for the academic year
Interned at a museum
Got a job at a tutoring center around March (still working there, plan to work until I graduate high school). ~12hrs/wk
Sophomore year: Took part in a program focused on biodiversity and DNA that produced about 60 hours of lab work, member of the Red Cross Club.

I’m looking at an internship at a bike shop that starts in September and business internship at an office that’s held in the winter. Hopefully I’ll get both.
I know there are a lot of red flags with my grades and I tried to really hustle during junior to get something that stands out, but I get that it’s probably too little too late.

Do I have any chances at UChicago, UMich, and Northeastern? Like how realistic are these?
I’m in love with Northeastern’s co-op program
For Northeastern, should I apply to the College of Science, the Bouve College of Health Sciences or the D’Amore McKim College of Business?
For UMich should I apply to the College of Kinesiology or LSA?
Northeastern is my main right now though!!

Female
First generation
Asian (Indonesian, if that matters?)

I didn’t really know what to put in this post, sorry if it’s too much or if I left something out. Thanks in advance!!!

I can only speak about Northeastern here. I know students who have better credentials that applied last year and got rejected. I think whether or not you do get in depends on how good your resume and your essay are. If your essay and your resume are strong then I think you have a good chance.

As for which specific major you should choose to apply to, if you are going pre-med I would be careful about choosing the general health science major at Bouve as it is more focused on health policy. I know many people in that program that changed majors. The school of business is pretty strong especially international business. The chemistry department is pretty good. If you have any specific questions feel free to let me know.

I’ll definitely work hard on my essay and try to build up my resume. Thank you!!

Alarming that you are considering pre-med when some of your lowest grades have been science.

"I want to go into the pre-med program and major in finance and econ OR accounting "

Is that a typo or are you really saying you want to study to be a doctor and be a Finance AND Econ major? Or do you mean you want to go pre-med or go the business route?

You can take all the pre-med courses and still be a business major. Pre-med is not a “major” at Northeastern or any school.

I see your concern novafan! I always liked and enjoyed science but I never did well in it except for biology so I thought I might just try it out. Thank you!

I wanted finance to be my backup plan because I never had good grades in the sciences and my boss’s friend majored in comp sci while in premed so I thought I could major in finance while in premed.

I know it’s possible, but is that a bad idea?

I believe the pre-med track includes extra Bio/Science courses that would not be required in the business school (for finance) or social science/humanities school (Econ). Seems like this combination would be nearly impossible to do well, especial if stellar grades are a goal - which is basically required for Med School applications. Now if you choose either Finance OR Econ - plus extra science electives within pre-med, that may be doable.
