I don’t think I will have a good chance at NYU Stern… I wanted to apply EDI, but I had to take SAT in November so that doesn’t allow me to apply to ED.
My SAT score is quite low, my friends told me don’t apply to Stern unless I have SAT score over 2200. Is it true?
Does NYU Stern look at students’ SAT II score? I took SAT Physics and got 680. I think it is too low. Should I send the score?
Also, I feel like my leadership experience is not enough(only the captain of golf team)

What do you think my chance is for NYU Stern? I know this resume is not that good but I really really want to get into Stern!! Stern is my dream school!! Please help me!! Thank you so much!!!

I think that your stats are great though the SAT score might be a bit low. You still have a great chance. Good luck! Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1726672-i-will-chance-you-back.html#latest

I think you’re a very competitive applicant to Stern. Only one thing stands out as weird on your application to me. You got an 800 in the Math subject test but only a 600 in the regular SAT? What happened there? You’re clearly good at math, so is it possible to retake your SATs and aim for a higher math score?
Also, I just have to point out though that if you apply anywhere that requires SATII scores, you might not be able to use the Chinese test if you’re already fluent in the language (which I assume because Chinese school + your background).

@merlion Thank you so much for the reply! Just to mention that I did get a 800 on math in my second try, 600 is my CR score, which is way below Stern average. Would it hurt my chance a lot?

A 600 in CR will make you look like a stereotypical Asian. Also you do not have any leadership in your ECs. Stern isn’t as selective as you think but once you’re in, the competition is brutal. Good chances at NYU, ok chances at Stern.

@gongy95 A 1400 CR+M score is good, but the most important thing is you boosted your CR by a lot. My opinion (and I don’t know what happens in the admissions office) is that because Stern is a business school, it might not weigh Reading as heavily as it does Math, which would help you. So, of course 600 CR will hurt you, but I think the 800 Math will help you more.
