I am going to be a senior in high school this coming September. With college applications beginning to take over my life, I just wanted to see how my chances are in regards to NYU Stern. I really would like to go to school in New York and Stern is one of my top choices. I've asked around for opinions on how my chances are for Stern and I've gotten a range of different opinions with some saying I won't make it and others saying I'll be fine. My stats are below.

GPA (unweighted)- 3.8
GPA (weighted)- 4.5
SAT- CR:800, M:800, W:770, Total:2370
SAT II- Chinese: 800, Math II: 800
AP's- 5's on Calculus AB, Chinese, and Statistics. 3's on World History, US History, and Biology
EC- CSF president, Oxfam vice-president, FBLA member, Summer business programs in Costa Rica and USC Entrepreneurship program, state music ensembles, pacific symphony youth ensembles.

I was also interested in the Stern BPE program, but I understand that it is an insanely competitive program to apply to. If I apply to BPE and I don't get accepted, will they still consider me for the Business Core at Stern? Or, am I completely out?!

I'm not sure what else is needed, just let me know! Thank you all so very much! ^_^

I’m not sure about bpe program but I think you are a high match for stern. Your stats are good, including grade and ecs. Just write good essays. Honestly if you are willing to pay for stern you should check out Wharton too, you might have a chance! good luck

You have great stats. I’d say you have a good chance but with a school as competitive as Stern you just really never know. Lots of people with stats like yours get rejected every year but if you apply ED it should help.

Your stats are great and you have a very very high chance for Stern. The BPE program is competitive, but there is no harm in applying for it. There is an option on the application form that essentially says that you would want to be considered for Core Stern if you don’t get BPE.

Hey! I noticed you got a 800 on your Chinese SATIIs.

If you are interested, you should look into applying to NYU Shanghai as well! It is a four year campus, run by NYU, located in Shanghai (Pudong). It just opened this year, but they have business/finance majors as well, and it is all taught in English by NYU professors. If you have any questions about it feel free to message me, I am currently attending there! :)

But otherwise, the website is:
www.shanghai.nyu.edu

I am actually looking into NYU Shanghai and I have a ton of questions about it actually. I can’t message you though, because I don’t have more than 15 posts. xD

Hi everyone!
