PLEASE chance me for NYU transfer Fall 2013

I applied to NYU CAS last year as a freshman and was rejected. I think it was because I applied as an undeclared major and was pretty average as a high school student. Anyway, I am a freshman at Emerson now, but I still really want to go there because my intended career is in New York so going there would open up experience opportunities for internships. Plus, this has kind of been my dream since I was 16. I really want to go to Gallatin School of Individualized Study so that I can cater my education to my career choice and study what I really want.

I've been doing really well in my college classes, but I'm not sure of my GPA at the moment because I'm a freshman. I'm also getting really involved, I'm a copyeditor and writer for a magazine, I'm going to apply for an internship at the fair next week, and next semester I'll be eligible for a sorority and I intend to join more organizations throughout the year.

My HS Stats:
GPA: 3.6
Rank: 44/244 (top 18% of a very competitive class)
AP Classes: 2 (the rest of my schedule was always honors classes)
SAT Best Score: 1720 (I am already planning to retake this)
No ACT, but SAT Subject (English): 650 , (U.S. History): 500
ECs: Dance (13 years, captain the last year there, not only lessons and competitions but community service team as well), Drama Club (involved with every show; executive board secretary senior year), Senior Class Treasurer, and Reporter for both Print and Broadcast Journalism Teams (junior and senior years)
Job Experience: Daycare staff at local gym

What I really need to know is if you guys think it's possible for me to get into Gallatin with all this in mind, I know they look for individuality and uniqueness most of all from what I've heard.

Pleaaaaseee I need people’s input this is really important to me
