Please chance me for Oberlin?

I know these chance threads are a bit annoying, but waiting to hear from Oberlin until spring is killing me! It's my top choice school; the only reason I didn't apply ED was due to financial reasons.

I'm a female from Northern VA, right outside DC, from a strong public school
GPA (weighted): 4.02
SATs: 2240 (CR:800 Math: 710 Writing: 730)
SAT IIs: Literature and Bio (ecology), 680 in each
I took a total of 8 AP classes

I think both my recommendations are strong, and my essays are both pretty good

ECs:
Journalism/on newspaper for 4 years: Entertainment Editor junior year, Editor-in-Chief senior year
Gay-Straight Alliance: co-founder and president for all 4 years of high school
Amnesty International
internship at Alzheimer's Family Day Center summer before 11th grade
Barnard College's pre-college program summer before 12th grade
various creative writing camps and programs

Awards/Honors:
French Honor Society
English Honor Society
Randolph-Macon Book Award
Civic Seal Diploma candidate

My main concern is a bit of a flounder in my math grades; I got a C+ in my AP Calc class last year.

Thank you so much everyone!

you sound like a very solid applicant. I got in with a 3.24 and a 1350 on the sat which is definately low for them, but also my english teacher wrote a 3 page single spaced recommendation about how i am a literary genius lol.

I would say in. The C+ IS fairly low for an Oberlin applicant, but since you have such a high GPA otherwise, I am sure Oberlin will forgive you for one mistake. Plenty of applicants have one class that they struggle with or make a mistake in. It’s not like you stumbled your whole time in high school. Your SATs and Extracurriculars are solid. Good luck!
