<p>Hi I am a 15 year old Indian male applying to PEA for the 2013-2014 school year as an 11th grader. I will be applying for financial aid. I currently study at the International School Bangalore in India although my parents live in the United States and I am originally from New Jersey (I am a US Citizen).</p>
<p>ACADEMICS</p>
<p>My school follows the CIE IGCSE (9th and 10th) curriculum.
My grades are as follows: (A* = A+)
-Additional Math - A* (hardest math course offered basically algeb. II + pre calc + calc AB)
-Biology - A*
-Physics - A*
-English Literature - A*
-Economics - A*
-Mandarin Chinese - A* (I have been learning for 5 years)
-Drama - A
-Chemistry - A
-English Language - A</p>
<p>-6 A*'s and 3 A's (GPA = 4.0 uw)</p>
<p>-I am currently ranked in the top 5 in my class.</p>
<p>-APs: Psychology - 5 (self-studied)</p>
<p>-SAT in 7th grade --> 1870
-SSAT in 8th grade --> 97th percentile (2250)
-PSAT --> Will be taking in 2 months.</p>
<p>EXTRACURRICULARS</p>
<p>-Boy scout for 5 years and I am an Eagle Scout.</p>
<p>-Won the Presidential Gold Award for community service.</p>
<p>-Won 2nd in USA in Science Olympiad in Dynamic Planet held in Augusta, GA.</p>
<p>-I am part of my school newspaper's staff as a writer.</p>
<p>-I have many hours of community service for organizations like Habitat for Humanity and Agasthya Foundation. In Agasthya, I went to a rural village in India by myself for about a week and taught health and hygiene to impoverished children). About 300 hours.</p>
<p>-I am a member of my school's Model United Nations team</p>
<p>-I am a member of my school basketball team (no JV/Varsity in my school).</p>
<p>OTHER</p>
<p>-I gained admission into the Davidson THINK Institute but because of financial reasons, could not go. (They take only 60 students)</p>
<p>-I interned in a hosipital in Delhi in the neurosurgery wing and I have a letter of recomendation from the head of neurosurgery.</p>
<p>-My principal gives out Principal's Commendations for excellence. I have never missed any for academics and currently have 12 PCs after just one year in the school.</p>
<p>-I know my teachers quite well as well as my guidance counselor and I am sure my reccomendations will be good. (One question--I have last year's reccomendations (same teachers). Can I send them?)</p>
<p>Could you please tell me what my chances of admission into PEA are?</p>
