@LifeLender Thanks for the advice! I’ll look over my supplements again!

@Musktard: Oh my bad. I’m a Lawrenceville student, so I thought the Princeton relationship was similar for all mid-Atlantic schools. At this point, you can’t do much to improve your chances at any schools, besides trim down your list and work hard on the essays (quality over quantity).

@MBVLoveless Yeah Lawrenceville has a ridiculous Princeton-matriculation rate. Is that something your college counseling office does or what? You guys don’t send that ton of kids to Harvard, Yale, Columbia, UChicago, Duke, MIT, etc so the Princeton number is pretty weird.

I think Princeton just knows our school very well. Our college counseling office has a great relationship with the U (but also with Georgetown and some other schools). We’re terrible with MIT and Harvard–but 8 Yales have been admitted early this year. Also, at Lawrenceville, a DISPROPORTIONATE number of students apply early to Princeton, with several acceptees going on to apply to HYSM and then not getting in and having to “settle” for Princeton, which may explain the high Princeton number.

@MBVLoveless Yeah Peddie doesn’t have that all.

Just curious but what stereotypes do Lville students have for Peddie students (if any at all?). Lawrenceville is referenced pretty frequently at Peddie but I sort of feel like it’s a one-sided rivalry.

@Musktard: tbh we don’t talk about Peddie at all. I’m not sure if we have a stereotype for you guys, since we tend to mind our own business. Even Hill, our “archrival”, rarely gets mentioned–one exception being the week before Hill weekend.
