Great chance, good sat scores, and extracurricular.
I see no real weakness, but Ivies are ivies and they can be weird.
If you had a good essay, you have a great chance.

Thank you! I wholeheartedly believe that my essay for AEM came out strongly, but that’s just a subjective opinion.

(Oh, and for those of you that do not know… AEM is the Applied Economics and Management at Cornell.)

are you from NY?
did you try ed anywhere ? your numbers look good

I’d say decent chance, seeing that your scores are in range. Your ranking can be a large factor and your race might work against you. The things that you do (ECs) make you stand out from the asian crowd, however. Always keep in mind there is a large luck factor in RDs.

That’s very true. Luck may play a pretty big roll in decisions… but I don’t think anyone can ever use that as an excuse. I am an unconventional Asian, I must admit. But will colleges compare my ECs and interests to other ASIANS specifically?

What are you basing your GPA off of?
Do you mean to say you have a GPA of 96.25/100 or does this mean that you got a B on a course? If the former, you’re in great shape!

The latter isn’t too bad - just make sure it’s one course instead of many. Hehe.
And make sure that B is in a course not related to economics or math!

I got a B in Orchestra once- which is my worst grade

Psh, you’re fine. One B isn’t going to affect your decision, especially since it has nothing to do with what you plan on majoring in and it is an elective, really (not that orchestra is bad, just usually considered to be a course which pulls up your grade).

Right, I agree. I have grades all in the A-range for my academic courses grades 9-11.

Huzzah. Good luck and all the best - redundant, but twice the luck is given.
