Are you applying to BME?

No, either undecided or physics related major

@kolakoala I’m assuming you ask because BME is either very competitive or a different application pool?

I’d say you have at least a 50% chance of admission, more if you can demonstrate interest in JHU.

I’d say you have at least a 50% chance of admission, more if you can demonstrate sincere interest. Can you vist? That would be a great way of showing that JHU is a top choice for you and gves you a chance to incorporate your impressions into your essay. Plus, visiting gives you the best chance of determining whether this is where you want to go. Good luck.

You have strong stats so good for you. Did you take any AP exams, and if so, what were your sores? That will help determine how difficult your classes are by how well they prepared you for a standardized exam. It doesn’t seem like you took on any formal leadership roles (correct me if I’m wrong). If that’s the case then definitely highlight in your essay an example or two that demonstrates (among other things) leadership qualities. If any of your rec letters aren’t written yet then try and persuade the writer to highlight leadership traits as well.

I think you stand a good chance, that being said you should be wary JHU will be getting an increasing number of applications this year and lowering its admission rate. Your GPA is the only thing carrying you down, but other than I think your application is solid.
