Reed does look at the W section and those scores are very much on the low side for an international applicant who needs financial aid. Reed also doesn’t have a CS major.

That being said, if your essays are really good and you articulate your reasons for applying to Reed in particular convincingly, you might have a chance. It sounds like you need to do your research, though.

@ghostt and @international95: Thank you for your comments. I actually meant that I intend to pursue the 3-2 program at Reed, and eventually do CS from the University of Washington. I should have mentioned that, my bad.

I second Ghostt’s point that you have not done enough research. Although that program is available, you ought to know that aid is NOT transferred from Reed to the University of Washington. And the University of Washington will not give you any aid either. So your dreams of studying computer science are not possible at Reed. I am sorry to break that for you. Apply elsewhere, it will serve you best.

I recommend Reed’s peer schools: Grinnell, Carleton and Swarthmore.

Although your username indicates otherwise, are you a woman? If yes, apply to Smith, Bryn Mawr and Mt. Holyoke College. These are women’s colleges but accept a healthy number of international students and give out amazing aid. If you wish to pursue computer science, you’d be better off at one of them than at Reed.

@International95: Thank you for the comments. I am applying to Bryn Mawr and Grinnell too. I have posted this on Grinnel’s CC page as well. While researching, I had read on CC (I think) that Reed transfers aid. But you are right, I should have confirmed with the admissions office; thanks for pointing that out to me!
Thanks for the help.
