About a personal struggle. The woman who reads college essays at my school (used to work for Rice admissions) liked mine so much that she is having her husband who is a professor at rice put in a good word for me there.</p>

Worked full time at a CPA firm last summer, then did contract accounting for many businesses. Have a letter of rec from my boss

<p>the gpa would have hurt but with the legacy you’re in, i know so many people with average grades who were legacys and got into rice. especially ed that ups your chances a LOT</p>

<p>I would be incredibly schocked if you don’t get in. Your scores are amazing, you seem to be a good and active student, and you have the nice hook of multiple legacies. I give you a 98/100 chance at acceptance and you probably stand a decent chance at getting some money too</p>
