Please chance me for Stanford, Cornell, UCs, USC, UW and more!

Hi, I am a high school senior outside of the US (Asian) but am a US citizen. Below are my stats:

-Will be applying for financial aid
-Want to major in biology/human biology, thinking about pre-med

Schools I'm applying to:
-Stanford
-Cornell
-UC Berkeley
-UCLA
-UCSD
-UCSB
-UCSC
-UC Davis
-UC Irvine
-USC
-Middlebury
-Occidental
-Northeastern
-UW Seattle
-Lewis & Clark

Results are coming in less than a month, and I want to have some general idea if I can get into these schools. Thank you so much!

And if you post your link and I am familiar with the schools you are applying to, I will try to chance you back!

Cornell and Stanford will be a bit of a reach. Everything else is a match. Being an international student will probably boost your chances. If you can raise your SAT score you’ll be better off. Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1616335-chance-me-and-i-ll-chance-back.html#latest</a></p>

@Dzheims Thank you for chancing me! But I’m so sorry I don’t know anything about British schools… :frowning:

Stanford, Cornell, Berkely, Northeastern are reaches. C+ is going to hurt
chance back

@MBenz23 thank you! I just chanced you back:)

anyone else?

Thanks for chancing me! I think that Stanford, Cornell, Cal, and possibly UCLA (only because its the most applied to school in the nation) might be reaches, but Stanford and Cornell are reaches for everyone so it’s not a big deal. What’s your intended major? From what I can tell, it seems to be something in biology? maybe pre-med? I’m just curious because that’s a major factor that determines whether something is as much of a reach as you may think. Good luck!!

@2015er Thanks! Yes, I want to major in biology, but for Stanford I chose Human Biology, and Cornell’s College of Human Ecology.

I’d say you’re a match for all, except Stanford, Cornell, and Northeastern. Good luck! You’re definitely a solid applicant

I’m going to be a bit more harsh and say that I will be surprised if you get into Stanford, Cornell, or the top UCs with that rank and SAT II scores. They rarely take outside the top 10% of the class, and you’re from an overrepresented ethnicity. Same with USC. UW and the others are more likely.

@marshmallowpop Thank you! I’m really surprised and thrilled to be considered as a solid applicant haha :)

@AmaranthineD Thanks for your feedback! Yes I would also be very surprised if I get into these schools… But I do have one question, it is said that the UCs don’t look into SAT II scores (except maybe some engineering schools which I am not applying to), do you think this boosts my chances? Thanks!

anyone else? :)

Your sat scores are a bit on the low side and your C+ in earth science worries me a little but you have great awards and unique extracurriculars.
-Stanford reach
-Cornell low reach
-UC Berkeley low reach
-UCLA low reach
-UCSD high match
-UCSB match
-UCSC match
-UC Davis match
-UC Irvine match
-USC high match
-Northeastern match
-UW Seattle match
-Lewis & Clark match

@justin5585 thank you! :)

Often times being an international student actually doesn’t help though, especially from the region you are in.
Stanford and Cornell are high reaches imo.

Everything besides the Ivies and UCLA, UCB are matches, International will be a plus. Raise the SAT score a bit though. Chance me:

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1620293-can-i-get-in-as-a-transfer-to-vassar-wesleyan-trinity-bard-bates-or-oberlin-will-chance-back.html#latest</a></p>

I’m not sure why people are talking about international when OP said he was a US citizen, even if he was an international, it would not help his chances at all. Applying to US schools from Asia is very difficult. But anyways, top colleges usually just take the very top Asian students (since it’s an ORM). With a low SAT score, 600s on two subject tests (assuming you’re reporting them), and a C in a class, it will be difficult for you to get into Stanford, Cornell, UCB, UCLA, Northwestern, and USC. However, your ECs are interesting and might give you some help (even though you don’t have many). Good luck!

@AZGrove @kevin1297 thank you!

@BBanks I only listed these ECs because both CommonApp and UC App can only list 5 of them tho… And I am applying to Northeastern not western haha  But thank you for chancing me! I know most of these schools are reaches so I’m having my fingers crossed right now.

BTW, I’m a girl lol :)
