I'm applying to SU's most difficult program-- the Comm school. It's consistently ranked a top 5 journalism school for undergrads.

I'm an undergrad with a 3.86, probably a 3.7 after credits from my first school are transferred. As of right now, I go to a fourth-tier college.

I write for my college's newspaper, am athletic, musically-conscious, wrote a strong essay and supplements. However, I did NOT go to the interview.

I'm in my junior year, too.

Given that I did not have interview, and that my GPA is only around 3.7-3.86 (unweighted because they are college credits), what are my chances of getting into SU's top program?

Not sure why you did not interview, considering Lubin House is in NY, but it seems like you still have a good chance to be admitted on transfer.....depending on where you are in school???

I didn't interview because-- honestly-- I felt that the interview could have hurt me more than it could have helped me. I'm not a good interviewee. I decided to research the school mostly on my own, and I talked to some alumni, as well as visited the college.

The interview would have added some unnecessary stress. I just hope I'm not downgraded because I didn't do it.

i know someone who got into Syracuse (but not transfer) who had slightly lower stats (GPA and EC) in high school, i would say most definately IMO at A&S, and good chance at Comm

(i know this is my second chance chancing you but you look desperate hahha)

I haven't gotten any criticism. I think the worst aspect of my application is not interviewing. The school I'm coming from isn't fantastic, either. IE, that's why I'm transferring.
