<p>i'm an international student (willing to pay full amount of fees)(Intended Major: Economics) and here are my stats : (UC BERKELEY, other UC's and Recommend Other Universities Experts@@) </p>

<p>SAT 1 - 2170
GPA - (our school is percentage based and no GPA) Doing A-level
JLPT (japanese Language Test) - N4 (intermediate Level)
ABRSM Grade 8 cello (highest - obtaining rights to teach children) and Grade 5 Music Theory
National Economics Competition (held once in a year for All secondary Schools) - top 8. (approx 0.3%)
International Songwriting Competition (judges include adele, nas, tom waits, etc other celebrities)(held in Nashville once in a year) - won the title of semi finalist (1500 out of 22000) for first ever produced hip hop song
Red Cross Retail Shop (second hand shop)(volunteered almost 2 years) - ). In detail, the works that I did ranged from ironing, cleaning, organizing the clothes and other items. Also, with the knowledge I got from learning accounting at school, I’ve done some basic accounting practices by doing cashier jobs and calculating the revenue of the day which also benefited me in experiencing the low end of commerce (basic commerce).
Busking License: street performance (lol) - donated part of the revenue from busking to red cross shop</p>

Cello Principal of chamber orchestra - 3 years
Cello principal of 4 Schools Combined Orchestra (Junior + Senior)
Striker in Outdoor soccer - 2 years, vice captain 1 year
Indoor soccer - 1 year
Executive Producer/Music Producer/Writer in songwriting project group (no support from the school, just pure nothing to something!) : I made this group since 1st year of high school with school friends who are interested in making original and creative hip hop music. The motif of making hip hop music was after hearing a sad story from my friend that he was struggling from domestic violence at home and his father left the house without telling him, I really wanted to share this story with others, so I produced first ever hip hop song about that friend with my rapper friend and submitted to International Songwriting Competition for the first time. (referring to the title I won as I mentioned above).
Peer Tutoring - 1 year
Showcase to Junior music students – I basically volunteered to help out junior music students to pick their own instruments by playing the cello and explaining what characteristics that the cello has during the holiday. </p>

<p>If I were you I would apply to some other schools. Cal takes a lot of instate students and its hard to get in out of state. Look at Northwestern maybe and maybe even a few ivies. Being an international student skyrockets your chances for admission. Best of luck and please chance back!

<p>You have a high chance to go to UC Berkeley. Just make sure to try out SAT Subject Test if you can. You get bonus point if you have high grade. (I know cuz my sister goes there).</p>

<p>I’m pretty sure A-level is much difficult than SAT 2 subjects. So that’s why i haven’t done SAT 2 :slight_smile: if you know what i mean, and Thnx happyat!! :)</p>

<p>I’d recommend some schools but I don’t know your specific interests. I’d look into schools that are trying to create more diversity in their student body.</p>

<p>If u look for sciences, look into Grinnell. Chances?- All are match except UC Davis, which is a safety :slight_smile:
