@ eniloracw I think many of them do, but the only difference is that I would be considered international for financial aid purposes, and since it’s limited for internationals, I’m still worried :(

Final Bump!

Final Bump!

Good shot/Shoe in for all except ivies which are really unpredictable. You should receive very large merit scholarships/full rides for schools like Drexel. I don’t know what your major is, but you could improve both your subject test 1 and 2 math sat scores if you are going into a math/science field.

I know a lot of people in Drexel and I believe with your GPA and SAT you should get a full ride. The SAT for scholarships is looked at out of 1600 though, but even then you should be fine.
Chance back?

I get my SAT II scores (in lit and math 1) back in 5 hours. I’m really hoping for a 750+

Ahhhh so nervous!

OP I think your stats look great. I am wondering how your undocumented status might affect financial aid. You might want to post a ? financial aid to find out.

Have you applied for the Dream Act [Basic Information about the DREAM Act Legislation | DREAM Act Portal](<a href=“Basic Information about the DREAM Act Legislation | DREAM Act Portal”>Basic Information about the DREAM Act Legislation | DREAM Act Portal) I wasn’t sure what you meant by deferred action?

Best wishes!

@milkweed

Unfortunately, the Dream Act hasn’t passed yet. In 2010, it passed in the House but not the Senate Deferred Action is the program that allows undocumented high school/college students to get work permits, SSNs, and drivers licences in some states. My lawyer says I should have it by February, but its not a green card or anything like that, so the REAL Dream Act still needs to pass. Deferred action is basically protection from deportation for 2 years.

okay I lied…

Bump! Chance in the spirit of New Years! :)

Being undocumented will not hurt, in some cases it can actually be treated as a hook (because you looking to become documented). You definitely have good chances, the only thing to improve would be to get more involved in ECs.

Chance me back?
