Bump

UIUC: Match
Purdue: Safety
UC Berkeley: High Reach

I too am in a similar situation…9.2 in 9th and 10th…96% in 11th and 95% in 12th midterms…but SAT on first try 2160…will take again…UIUC is not very difficult to get into but has no scholarships for international students…Same with Purdue…while Berkeley is both very difficult to get into and has no scholarships…

BTW what are counsellor recommendations?..I got great teacher recommendations, but who counts as a counsellor?

The Common App requires you to assign a counselor to fill in the School Report. There’s a section for a recommendation in there. I think they give scholarships to US citizens no matter where they live. Are you from India? Did you get that 9.2 in CBSE and that 96% in a state board? And I thought I would have a better chance with Berkeley because of my SAT score. Didn’t think it’d be that hard.

@AGDC18‌ no 96% also in CBSE boards…came first out of about 90 kids in my 11th…i always got near full on maths and science(now physics and chem.)…but i scored bad in 9th and 10th because, shamefully i managed only a B2 in my mother tongue(hindi)…yes I am from India…Berkeley is hard, but I reckon you have a chance…Where to find a counsellor though?

Oh…i missed that you were from the US…then u have an good chance i guess

If you don’t have an actual college counselor, you can assign any school official such as your principal as your counselor. As long as that person knows you well and has overseen your academic progress. B2 in Hindi? You could have just taken French. It’s way easier.

i was stupid…i took french in my 6th…sanskrit in 7th and 8th as 3rd language and then stupidly took hindi for my 9th and 10th…btw do my 11th grades and 12th grades and my consistent straight A’s on math and science make up for my 9th and 10th grade marks?..and thanks for your help…

Bump

good chance for those schools, im applying for same aerospace major could you chance me??
