I think you’re good for Fairfield and URI. Not sure about UMass or UConn due to your SAT score. Probably more likely at UMass since you’re instate.
What is your unweighted GPA?
What year are you in?
How much SAT preparation did you do? Is there an option to do more preparation and retake the SAT, or are you are senior already and therefore out of time?
At my school we are not given an unweighted gpa.
I am a current senior.
I had taken a SAT prep course at my school, and purchased a prep book that I had worked on, I am out of time unfortunately but I had taken it 3 times and improved every time until I had gotten that final test score that I applied with.
Congrats on the hard work paying off for you with potential options like these.
You should be very solid for URI excluding nursing or pharmacy. It’s an awesome place to go to school. Many students after sophomore year rent beach houses as a group for the semester. Lots of fun and beautiful. Course work is excellent.
I’m would say UConn is a real reach out of state.
Massachusetts is low reach but in state helps of course.
Fairfield is solid match for you too. What a great school as well.
I hope you get good news and all say yes. But you only need one. Fingers crossed for you.
Thank you!
I am wondering if you should apply to U.Mass Lowell as a safety. I think that your chances at U.Mass Amherst are pretty good. If accepted both there and U.Mass Amherst I would attend U.Mass Amherst. However Lowell is a good school and it is a good plan to have an in-state safety.
