bump.....anyone?

University of Michigan-Ann Arbor (first choice) - Match (OOS)
Emory University - Match :) I love Emory.
Northwestern - High Match / Slight Reach
University of Chicago (big reach?) - High Match / Slight Reach, especially if you're a good writer and have great essays
Indiana University (safety) - Safety
UW- Madison - Match / Low Match (Though I don't know much about UW so I could be off :))

You seem really well-rounded. Again, I think good essays will really help you at UChicago. I'm a rising senior as well, so I don't know too much about suggestions, but I think you should maybe work ahead in order to have really good essays for schools like UChi.

Yeah I've already started to plan and work on my essays! Thanks....anyone else...

A couple of points. With your very strong reading and math scores in the ACT, and weaker score in science, it looks to me as if you may be one of the people who do far better on the SAT than on the ACT. Maybe you should at least find a prep book and try a sample test. The part time job- don't bother unless you are really interested. Working in the summer is fine, but to work during the school year just to say that you did is not worth the time and disruption. Suggestions on other schools to look at: Barnard, Boston College, U of Rochester.

Yeah about the SAT...I was planning on taking it (and not the ACT) but after I bombed the PSAT and did okay on the ACT I decided not to...I kind of regret it now but since I am applying to mostly midwestern schools I think I'll be in majority (right?!)

u look strong. write great essays/get good recs and you have a pretty good chance.

thanks! so I have a good chance at UMich? I would loveeee to go there

bump...my official class rank is 22/939 if that makes a difference...

I would REALLY like to know my specific chances at UMich...
