Very nice, you have potential. Key thing is to aim higher on the SAT. Try to shoot for at least a 2000 on your first try, and maybe a bit higher on Bio too. While you're at it, why not take a language test? It would give that aspect of your app more weight if you could substantiate everything with scores.

Languages and Cricket are likely your ticket in. Consider listing your major as languages then changing back to math if you still want to pursue that major. If I were an adcom, seeing a bunch of languages, tests scores to back them up, an essay about them, and an interest in pursuing them further in college, I'd be impressed.

Don't neglect cricket either. It's not common in the US and can definitely help you out a lot.

I think that you should have a very fair chance with UPenn, As everyone else has already said I can not give you a definite yes or no, but you should stand a very fair chancel.

oh no I will definitely not do that, although it might help me
I really don't want to write the French sat2 because I honestly won't have time to prepare for that!
And I cannot write my major as languages because I have only taken 3 foreign lanuage classes and that will certainly not help
What I can do is write my essay about how I have lived in different parts of the world, and how that has allowed me to incorporate different languages and cutures while emphasizing on how that has provided me with a diversified background!
How does that sound?

Good idea for the essay, though I'm spilt as to which is more important, Cricket or Lang. Penn only has 1 standard essay. Language masters are really rare, but so is cricket!

Thinking about it, a language essay is likey to be better because sports ones are WAY to easy to turn cliche.

bumpppppppp once again

ivys will look for unique things liek your ec and languages etc. but agian we need to see SAT scores so its better you start this thread after you get a feel

what universities is that good enough for? (i sure hope upenn is on that list, haha)

I'm not upenn saavy but my guess is 34 and up gives best shot

oh ok..
but im sure i can bring it up because this was the first ACT that i have ever done so preparation should help me get there..

can someone please chance me?!

Next act is febrary isn't it

umm yeah
but im probably gonna take it later on this year

Your EC's definitely stand out; the many languages is pretty unique... your GPA and SAT are "competitive" for UPenn.

Don't know the exact chances, but I'd say you have just as much of a chance as anyone else applying for UPenn (except for some superfreaks around here who don't sleep)

i think you should be good for penn your ecs look good, raise that SAT score and have good essays
good luck
chance back please

“National cricket team”? Wow. I can’t believe you’re only a junior. Definitely keep it up.

Your love for world discussions, the condition of Pakistan, and Cricket is clear. :)

And considering it’s ED, I think you have a great chance.
