Please chance me for UPENN Wharton and NYU Stern! DREAM SCHOOLS!!

yup i did!

You definitely have a good chance for Wharton. Try to bring in some of the leadership qualities in your essays. I wouldn’t worry so much about having fewer ECs than most people on here. It’s about quality vs quantity.

Not sure if someone asked this (didn’t read all the posts), but are you a URM? If so I’m almost certain you can get in.

^^ He is Indian. Based on the comments you have posted elsewhere, I think you overestimate the role of being URM.

yea i am indian… i dont know what urm means… lol sorry.

oh haha it means under represented minority… yea i dont think indian falls under that

You have good stats and ecs!! that’ll help you a lot to get in!! good luck
chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1506757-chances-wharton.html</a></p>

As requested, I’m going to chance you through my complex algorithm. There’s a 82.3% chance you are accepted by Stearns, but only a 29.7% chance you will be accepted by Wharton, however, I would still apply to Wharton if I were you. You’re chances are relatively high compared to the typical Wharton applicant.

thats actually so cool… thanks i appreciate it.

bump bump!!!

hahah thanks for bumping my post…

10char bump.

bum bum bump

I think you’ll enter Stern with flying colors. But I think Wharton is where your difficulties lie. For the longest time, I too was heavily invested in both Stern and Wharton for business (before switching to Econ myself) so I have a lot of background on these two colleges. First of all don’t underestimate Stern; it’s acceptance rate is rather smaller than the overall university’s acceptance rate. And as for Wharton, it becomes as rigorous of an admissions rate as HYPSM considering it’s prestige and sheer academic prowess. My biggest advice to you is to write fantastic essays, get good recs and possibly try to pursue some work or intern experience. Show that you have a lot to say and make yourself a true individual by differentiating yourself from all the others. I think the interview could also work very much in your favor if done properly!

Stern - match (it bases much of its admission on objective stats)
Wharton - reach

Good luck!

Chance back? [Penn, Harvard, Chicago and More!!](http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1509778-chance-new-guy-penn-harvard-chicago-more-will-chance-back.html)

do you think wharton is like a really high reach… i mean i feel that i have a pretty solid resume… granted my gpa is low… due to the rigor of my school and the challenges i have faced… but as a package… the fact that i have my own business for 4 years now… and my teacher rec will include that… and my sat scores are above and beyond… i think i have a lot to offer… but again thats just me… lol… everyone probably thinks that… thanks dude i appreciate it!

Not at all! It’s a reach, but that can be said to almost every student applying to Wharton. ED will certainly help so I recommend that you do so. And there will be students with better resumes and worse resumes than you. I spent some time talking to a Penn alum and this is what I got. The most important thing with Wharton is that they want individuals and characters - the types of people that are going to shape and change the world some day, and will use their education to benefit society. It’s a very intricate and close network of business-minded individuals who often see each other again in the workplace or for their MBAs. Definitely stress your business and how’s it’s helped others! I think you’ve got a great shot for a difficult reach school!

yea hopefully thanks!!! there are people tho who have 4.0’s and 2300’s and presidents of like 100 different clubs… and that worries… but i feel like they have no life… haha… hopefully wharton feels the same way…

if there are any other opinions let me know…

bump10char

bump 10. bump 10.

lol I don’t think you need to bump this anymore. I doubt there’s anything more to be said that wasn’t mentioned in the past 5 pages.

Apply ED to Wharton. I’d be somewhat surprised if you didn’t get into Stern
