I plan to major in some form of engineering most likely Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
Can anyone tell me what my chances are of getting into UCI, UCSD, UCLA, and USC and what can I improve to increase my chances of getting in?

anyone? :[

I’ll give it a shot. I’m just a chancin’ machine today…

Chinese/Filipino? 0.o Interesting!

I only know about UCLA. And I say it’s gonna be a reach bud. SAT/ACT’s a bit low but nice GPA. To improve, I’d say get the test scores up, most def.
Hope that was helpful lol.

yea thanks a lot! Can anyone else give me any predictions concerning my chances at the other schools especially UC Irvine and UCSD?

I would say no chance at ucla…but you already know that, right? I think you will get into irvine and I am on the fence about San diego. I wouldnt be surprised if you were accepted but also wouldnt be surprised if you were rejected. Get your sat or act scores up and you could greatly improve your chances. Best of luck.

Yep, raising your SAT score is going to help a lot for SD, especially since the UCs are taking in less students due to budget cuts

Chance back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/744479-chance-me-ucs-some-privates-will-try-chance-back.html

Cool, thanks guys. For atleast UC Irvine and SD should I continue seeking more extra curriculars/leadership roles? Or am I good as long as I improve my test scores?

Oh one more question again, my weighted GPA is around 3.95 but my UW GPA is a lot lower, maybe around a 3.6 and UC GPA maybe 3.7, would I still have a good shot at UCI as long as I raise up those scores?

aah! UCLA’s gonna be hard, but you should definitely apply! bump up that SAT and you might have a chance! oh- and write good essays! no idea about the other two- didn’t apply! hope this helps!!
