bump please chance me guys

OH! And I am the president of International Club, have presented as a Master of Ceremonies, and founded a schoolwide activity.
sorry, i forgot haha

UCI: safety (virtually in)
UCLA USC NYU: Very good chances
Stanford: High reach (it’s a long shot
for anyone)

It’s hard to know without knowing what your teacher recommendations and application essays will be like. I think that it’s not really worth applying to Stanford; people usually have a little higher test scores and GPA’s. If I were you I would apply to the other schools, though. Based on what you put, I think you have good chances with them.

I think UCI is a safe bet ( I know ppl who got in with much lower stats ). Try taking the SAT? Your ACT corresponds to about a 2040 on the SAT, which is on the lower end to places like Stanford. Then again you could have a 2400 and still not get in, so you will never know. I want to disagree with WatermelonFelon. I understand what he’s trying to say but you are going to hate urself if you don’t even try. Good Luck
Oh ya
USC
UCLA
NYU
These a reasonable schools that you should have a shot at. You have leadership positions and show consistency, but I think higher standardized tests scores would make it a lot easier :)

Good chance at UCI and NYU. Decent chance at USC and UCLA. Stanford-always a reach. Good luck! Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1369312-chances-stanford-upenn-dartmouth-yale-ucs-usc.html</a></p>

thanks guys! yes, i know, I’m working on improving my ACT and I’m going to take the SAT 2 for math level 2 soon. Thanks for everyone’s imput, but I am definitely applying to these schools. I don’t want to feel like I didnt give myself the shot I know I deserve, but thanks to all. Anyone else?

bump? can i get more people to chance me? btw, my high school is highly acclaimed not only in California, but nationally. My school is nationally ranked in the top 10 public schools and we have had senators come and commend us on our merit. so keep that in mind when you look at my grades and ecs

bumpppppp can a few more people chance me? i appreciate it xx

UCI and NYU are good matches. Could see it going either way. USC and UCLA are good reaches, but of course as everyone has said, get those test scores up. And I don’t really see anything that makes me think that Stanford could accept you, but everyone is entitled to a few super reaches. Good luck!

You hae good chances at UCI, USC, UCLA, and NYU, but Stanford is a long reach (possible though) As everyone said before, get those test scores up!

I concur with just about everything that has been said. With regards to an earlier poster who said that you shouldn’t even apply to Stanford: For goodness sakes, apply! It definitely is a long reach, but you KNOW you won’t get in if you don’t apply.

Other than that, I think you stand a decent shot at all other schools listed. Your test scores/EC’s aren’t outstanding, but I think they are definitely good enough to get you into everywhere except Stanford, which, once again, is a reach.

If you don’t mind, please chance me at http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1368810-chanes-hys-among-others-thanks.html</a> . Thanks :)

I don’t mean to be “that guy,” but I don’t think you stand a very good chance at Stanford right now. Part of it, frankly, is being of an “advantaged” race like yours and not having basically perfect grades. I don’t think that’s fair, and it isn’t anything you can control, though you can bring your grades up a little. However, it also seems that your ECs aren’t that focused and are mostly pretty typical among applicants to such colleges. They aren’t bad, and you’ve been doing most of them for a while, but they don’t tell me much about who you are.

Your course load is good, but your standardized tests would be below-average to average at Stanford (so retake the ACT and the Subject Tests and consider taking the SAT as well).

Overall, you stand somewhat of a shot at Stanford, but you can improve from what you have. As for your other schools, I think you’ll likely get in.

its okay guys i can take criticism :stuck_out_tongue:
and yes, I acknowledge that I need to retake the ACT and am already signing up for it haha

thanks for your input
