<p>Ethnicity: African American
My English Teacher, who is one of the teachers I am closest with at my school says I have a good shot at really any of these schools because I am black, I have a good life story, grow up with my grandmother, never knew my father, met my mother once.</p>

<p>I took the SAT did bad, not saying my score im re-taking it, but lets say i get a 2020.
Honestly, what are my chances, and does being black really play a big factor?</p>

<p>I can tell you’re a definite hard worker :). I’d like to applaud you for that, first off.</p>

<p>I don’t know any other school except for USC and NYU (but really I can only give you information for USC).
My older sister was accepted into for USC '13, and looking at your ECs and classes, I believe you have a good shot at USC. My sister did not take as much APs and certainly did not have a dramatic life story. Not to mention, we’re Asians, and seeing that African Americans are a minority at USC, I don’t see why they won’t accept you :)</p>

<p>it seems like you have a good chance of getting in to USC, you seem to have a strong list of extracurriculars and good SAT scores. I would put it as a low reach. Good luck, I hope you get in! chance me back</p>
