PLEASE chance me for UT Austin

Could someone give me a "guesstimate" regarding my chances of getting into UT? I am a rising senior and will be applying this fall.

I am instate and the reason I am freaking out is because I am on the very edge of being in the top 7%, aka automatic acceptance. I won't know my official rank until August.

GPA- 3.98 on a 4.0 scale. 96.14 on a 100 point scale. I don't know what it would be on a 5.0 scale
Rank- WAS 15/230 (6.5%) but I didn't have the best final exam grades so it could slip a bit. Probably no more than 3 spots max though (praying it won't) If it dropped 3 spots it would put me at 18/230 (7.8%) So on the very edge!

SAT- 1820/2400 (I know..not great AT ALL. This is why I need to stay in top 7%)

AP Scores- Have not received them yet, but I don't think that has anything to do with admission. I have taken AP English Language and AP U.S. History (and am taking 4 more this year, but that's after I have already applied) Every other class is Pre-AP as opposed to regular.

Lots of community service, including serving dinner at a homeless shelter once a month, teacher's assistant once a week (Sunday school), tutoring kindergarteners once a week, and tons of other random things that are not as "regular"

Freshman Class Student Council Representative, Secretary of Student Council (Soph. year), Junior Class Student Council Representative, Senior Class Council Representative

Communications Vice President (2011-12), Religious and Cultural Vice President (2012-13) President (2013-14) of my youth group

Student of the Year Freshman and Sophomore year
Duke TIP Scholar (sort of like National Merit for middle schoolers)

Member of National Honor Society
Member of International Thespian Society (don't think they care though)
Member of Jewish Student Union at school
Member of Communications Committee at school (gives tours to prospective students and parents)

lots of school theatre and community theatre (don't know if this matters either)

Is this enough information? Thank you for your time! Again, I am so stressed about the whole class rank/ low SAT thing

Match. Great GPA and OK test scores.

You have a good chance. Even if you are out of the top 7% your rank is still high and your GPA is good. Your test score could be higher. Try taking again to see if you can increase to 2000 or higher. Your 1820 is a little low. The 75 percentile is around 2060. I would shoot for that.

Overall you have a really good chance at UT and if you stay in the top 7% you are automatic.

GPA is really good, but SAT scores seem to be a bit low. What are you planning on majoring in? If you are planning on applying for a super-competitive major, like engineering, then you will probably have to raise your SAT score by a lot. Nice job on the leadership.

I’m planning on majoring in Communication Disorders in the Speech-Language Pathology track. It’s not a competitive program. I am just worried about getting into the school.

Thanks for the feedback!

Everything looks good, but to echo what everyone else is saying, your SAT is a little low. Why don’t you take the October test?

I mean I can…it’s just, I will be applying early decision. So I don’t think they’d see my new scores in time.

Match if that GPA you posted was UW. Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1519772-chances-cooper-union-i-will-chance-back-2.html</a></p>

If you remain top 7% when you apply early you will get in early.

If you are outside top 7% applying early will not get you an early response. You will only be able to pay housing deposit to get in line for campus housing in case you get in under holistic review.

Ps honors colleges have October deadlines as well.

UT does not offer early decision.
