Thanks in advance for advice!

You’ll almost certainly get into BMC, and you have an excellent shot at Wes. Not sure about Oberlin, but it’s probably about the same as Wes.

Thanks! I might apply ED to BMC, but I’m worried (or else I wouldn’t be posting here…lol) And Oberlin is at about the same level as Wesleyan.

You have a very, very good chance of getting into all of them. :)

Wow, you definitely have a great chance at any of those schools! Good luck!

thanks guys, I hope you’re right haha
does anyone know about the financial aid at these schools? of course, the Ivies, Uchicago, and Oberlin are pretty generous, but my parents don’t make a lot of money at all and some of the schools are not need blind.

I think you are in good shape at all of these schools. Do not worry about the weight your school gives classes. Colleges recalculate the grades based on their own view of what is easy and hard. My guesses: BMC and Oberlin = matches, Wes = low match (50 to 66%).

Thanks. Should I do an interview for Oberlin? Some reps are going to be in my city in a few months and idk if I should ask for one. I know it shows an interest in the school, but I’m afraid I’m going to be really nervous and totally blow it.

Bump anyone else please??

bump10char

Unless you really think you’re going to make a bad impression, I would go for it. Personally, I love interviews. Its just a chance to show off what an awesome person you are!

I wish they could just realize how awesome I am on their own haha :)

A good interviewer, especially an experienced professional interviewer like an admissions officer (as opposed to an alum) will be dong their best to make you feel comfortable. They want you to come away with a good impression of the school and a ‘bad’ interview isn’t going to accomplish that goal. Interviews are a chance to shine and to learn more about a school so take the chance if it comes up.

You’ll be interviewing for the rest of your life so now is a great time to learn how to answer the standard “tell me about yourself” question and the usual “what questions can I answer for you?” Practice with someone if you think it will help.

Thanks for the advice! I think I’m going to do it. Bryn Mawr and Oberlin are going to be around the same time, and they’re some of my top choices.
