<p>2380 SAT I
800 US History, 740 European History, 730 Math 1 Sat II's
3.65 GPA (my gpa would be a lot better, but i had a lot of personal issues sophmore year, resulting in 3 B+'s) at really tough renowned private school that's near philly and has a close connection to penn, taking only a few honors classes until this year, my senior year, when i'll be taking all AP/Honors classses
my extracurriculars are that i'm really good at tennis and play for the tennis team, that i have done debate club, that i have done chess club, and that i went to governor's school.
i also want to major in finance/economics.
please list your estimates of my % chances of acceptance for 1. wharton and 2. regular general college
thx</p>
<p>bump please</p>
<p>I thought there was only an SAT II only for World and US History, not Euro.</p>
<p>yea i meant world history cause it was eurocentric anyways. sry. what about my odds at wharton/ general college?</p>
<p>You look like a really good candidate.
Your SAT score is definitely looking good.</p>
<p>But Penn's admissions has been really random in the past 2 years. Just look at the acceptance pages of people. Some people with 2400s get rejected, others with 1980s get in. I guess it depends on your essay.</p>
<p>math1 is pretty weak for wharton. i'd definitely recommend taking math2c and hopefully scoring higher (its a much more generous curve)</p>
<p>thx slim2none, you're totally right. i didn't prep at all for math 1 and did kind of bad considering that the math isn't very hard.</p>
<p>Ahem. "Regular college?"</p>
<p>Penn's College and Penn's Wharton are two different beasts, looking for different strengths in their respective applicants. Pick the one that is more appropriate for your interests.</p>
<p>^ Going with that analogy, which one is the perky one and which one is the saggy one?</p>
<p>bump please</p>
