Please chance me for Wharton ED.

Hey everyone. I’m about to become a senior and really want to be admitted to Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania. I plan on applying ED, and would appreciate if you could chance me and offer some feedback. Thanks!

With excellent essays and recommendations from teachers, what are my chances at Wharton for Early Decision? I could always hold off for regular decision and hopefully improve my SAT’s and add more volunteering if it would be advantageous, but I would like to apply ED because of athletic recruiting that is still up in the air at this point.

I’d really appreciate any suggestions, comments, criticisms, or feedback of any sort. Thank you all kindly.

excellent chance of admittance. Only thing left for you is a stellar essay. Don’t make it cliche; takes risks with it because there is no “sure way” of making it into Wharton. Good luck!

700 for math? That’s pretty low as are your SATs. Any SATIIs? I would retake the sats

nychica, the OP said that he hasn’t took any SAT II.

OP, you might want to try the ACT, some people like it better than the SAT. However, your SAT is not bad.

Your SATs are fine, i think you have a very high chance of admittance, great stats!

i wouldn’t say the SATs are fine. below a 2250 is not strong. u can take the satIIs in october and the SATs in november, and u’d be fine for ed.

i’m thinking since yr school takes 1-2/ yr. to top colleges and yr #1 in yr class, u have a good shot

Everyone, thank you for the feedback so far. I am also a little worried about my math SAT score, but I’ve been preparing for the SAT Math Level II exam in October and hope I can do well on that.

The situation has changed from when I first posted this topic earlier this week on the forum. I was just offered a roster spot on Penn’s soccer team if I can make it through admissions. Because I’m not an amazing candidate to get into Wharton (although I would love to), I’m thinking that I’ll apply to the CAS on Early Decision and hopefully get in there. If I did then mabye I could transfer to Wharton, but at least I would be in the school if that didn’t work.

I just don’t want to jeopardize my chance of playing soccer at Penn by getting rejected from Wharton. So I guess this topic has turned into “Please chance me for UPenn CAS ED”. Any more feedback would be greatly appreciated.

On another note: With the ED application suggested deadline being October 15th, is taking the SAT Reasoning Test again in November too late to be considered for admissions?

Any other feedback? Thanks.

from Penn’s site

Hmmm, when I was talking to admissions last year they strongly recommended that I take HL math so it might be something to consider, seriously its not hard but does require some work. Everything else looks decent. I wouldn’t say you have a “high” chance of admission, about average I would think.
