Please chance me for William & Mary ED!!!

The ED acceptance emails should be coming out and a week, and I’m so nervous!!! It’s my top school and I’d love to know rate my chances.

White, female, straight.
I live in-state.
Attend a specialty center, or “magnet school” to some, for the Humanities.
4.2360 GPA weighted
SAT: 1260
Rank 13 out of 348
APs: Human Geo (4), Bio (3), US History (4), Lang&Comp (3), Psych (4), Government, Lit&Comp, Calc AB, Environmental Science, Art 2D.

I have taken art classes all four years and chorus 3 out of 4 years, due to a scheduling conflict.

We aren’t going to talk about my ACT score, which I did not submit. I also did not take the SAT Subject tests because they are optional, and I was told they were not super important, however discussions I’m looking at keep saying otherwise… But most of those are paranoid people apply to Ivies, so I may have nothing to worry about.

ECs:
Varsity field hockey for 3 years, Recognition: an all tournament team.
NHS Vice President
Debate Team 4 years
Model UN 4 years - Won various awards at conferences. Vice Chair of a committee @ conference, now canceled but after sent in so I can’t really be blamed.
Girl Scouts 4 years - Silver Award Earned, been a counselor @ camps for it.
Educators Rising 2 years, President 12th
Spring musical for 4 years (The cast list for this year come out the same day as ED acceptance emails FUN!)
Nationals Art Honors Society -for 3 years, Head of Ceremonies 10th, Historian 11th, this year hopefully VP.
Rho Khappa, History Honors Society.
Mu Alpha Theta, Math Honors Society.

Work:
Panera Bread, 2 years.

I’ve probably done more, however that is everything on Common App, except Mu Alpha Theta.

Honors:
Scholastic Art & Writing Awards Honorable Mention for art piece.
Same art piece feature in spring 2016 edition of VAEA magazine.
AP Scholar w/ Distinction.
PSAT Achievment Award.
Honor Roll all three previous years of high school award thing.
That’s all I can think of.

I also submitted a portfolio - just five pieces of art work.

I also did an interview - My interview and I were like the same person; She also didn’t realize she had an interview so we went in late, so she was gonna let me stay in a little longer, but we ended up having a 50 minute interview instead of 25-30, so I think that is a good sign.

I definitely thanked the admissions board when I visited.

I think my essays are good, especially the supplemental with is incredibly original in my opinion, although I do wish I had spent a little bit more time on them. I never asked to see my recs, but my fockey coach did one, who is an ALUMNI, and the head of the Center who loves me, and then my 11th grade eng teacher who I loved and just kind of makes sense.

I plan on getting Masters, and I want to major in the Liberal Arts. History, English, whatever. Maybe even journalism. Teaching has also always been a big option for me. I also want to enter the Peace Corps for a couple of years after college.

I’m hoping that I’m so artistic (theatre and visual arts) puts me over the edge and makes up for my, while in the range/qualified, more average standardized test scores (I am TERRIBLE at standardized tests).

Sorry for so much! It would mean so much if y’all could tell me what you think my chances are!!!

It’s aight that nobody answered, I got in anyways!!!

Congratulations! You got a positive response from the chancers that really matter. It’s a terrific place, and you’ll have a great four years.

Congrats! It’s a beautiful historic campus. I’m sure you will fall in love with the school.

Congratulations @collegekid2022 ! Welcome to the William & Mary family. I know you will thrive here because they pick people for a reason and that you will be a valuable part of the community. There are many wonderful professors here, but if you get a chance take a class with Professor Francis Tanglao-Aguas, who is a theater professor. His classes are life-changing, insightful, and he will be one of the professors that will be with you throughout the entire ride. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you ever need anything. Welcome home.
