Also I will be applying for Engineering Colleges.

Guys I’d really appreciate if you take out a minute, and put forth your opinion or suggestion.

Thanks in advance!

Your ECs look pretty strong and your SAT2 scores are okay but I would recommend you take the SAT1 again because your scores are kinda weak…by the way, how are your school grades? they matter alot too…and do you have any ideas about which college you want to go to…?? Have you taken any tests other than the SATs like APs or PSAT?

Your ECs look quite good. SAT scores, not so much (by SAT, I mean SAT 1). See if you can retake that. Or maybe try taking the ACT instead, as the general opinion around here seems to be that people who get excellent ACT scores may not necessarily do as well in the SAT. You never know, maybe the ACT is more suited towards your intelligence and test taking style.

For SAT 2, colleges look at your individual score in each subject, not your composite score. I assume you took physics, chemistry and math 2 as that’s the most common subject combination in India. What are your individual scores for each? Also, what is your GPA/percentage? Does your school rank students, and if so, what’s your class rank? We need at least your GPA before we can chance you.

Coming back to ECs, what you have is great, but there doesn’t seem to be anything related to engineering in there. See if you can do a couple of engineering-related ECs as well to show your interest in the field.

As you’re only doing your initial research, let me suggest some colleges that have a good name for engineering. Stanford, CalTech, GeorgiaTech, UIUC, UC Berkeley, UCLA, UC Santa Barbara, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, UMichigan, UMassachusetts, Texas A&M, John Hopkins, Vanderbilt, WUSTL, UChicago, the Ivies, etc., etc. There are probably loads more that I’ve missed. Most of the schools I’ve listed are quite competitive, so you might need to up your game in terms of scores to get in. There are, of course, less competitive schools that are still quite good. I’ve listed the most well-known ones, but there are thousands of others. Start your research right away, because otherwise it can all get overwhelming!

All the colleges listed by Khione are all very good, and if you aim to get into them, I would really suggest you try for a SAT-1 score of 2200+. You can also give SAT-2 again in maybe September as once you are finished with the topics in school you will find it a lot easier.
Your ECs seem to be good. BTW you can try the ACT too as khione said.
It would probably help people to guide you better if you mention the major you are interested in and your other statistics(rank/percentage in 10th, 11th etc)
And don’t worry about whether you are “qualified” enough to apply in some college or not. Do your best to boost your app and write good essays and then let the colleges decide.
