There is nothing to apologize for.
I don’t really “get” the UC stats published, either. They claim one thing, but the students that I have seen admitted, have really high stats, or, have lower stats but are ALSO, talented and recruited athletes. I don’t know how many of those posted scores are averaged to include all of the recruited athletes. They have a LOT of sports teams!
The students that I often thought would get in, didn’t.
This past year was really eye-opening; students who didn’t get into Davis, would get into LA! That was just one weird year!
Try USC and the Claremont colleges; you’ll see what I mean in funding.
