Please Chance me? I Chance Back

Hey, y’all!
I (…like most people…) would really appreciate if anyone could chance me for some of the schools listed below. And if you think applying ED would make a big difference, that’d be great to know!
Thank you so much!

Favorites: Tufts University and Wesleyan University
Other Schools: Hamilton, Oberlin, Washington University in St. Louis, Any Other Schools You Think Sound Cool

SAT: 2130 (writing: 760, cr:680, math: 690)
SAT II: English 710; Math 680
GPA: This is where is all gets a bit fuzzy…I know that it was about 3.88 my Sophomore year. At the start of my Junior year, a parent passed away and everything started to go a little downhill…My guidance counselor is going to address that. All I really know is that my GPA is between a 3.7 and a 3.85 right now. I’m sorry that I can’t be more specific.
Courses: I’ve taken all honors in Math and English, honors in Science starting partway through Senior year, some advanced technology classes, and I’ve been doubling in English classes for Junior and Senior Year.
APs Taken: APUSH and APLang, this year.
Senior Course Load: APGov, APPysch, APLit, APES, APCalc, 12th Year English, French, Art

ECs: Debate (executive member), Government Club (Vice President, President), World Club (Secretary for Two Years), Writing Club (4 years), Community Service Club (4 Years), Welcoming Club (3 Years), Poetry Performance (4 years), School News Show (sound board), a few smaller ones, working twice a week as a tutor during the school year, working at a small business and volunteering at local hospital during the summer, Summer@Brown
Awards: A Book Award, Numerous Debate Awards
Recs: They’re going to be really solid; I have really good relationships with the people writing them.

Other: I’m a white female at a very competitive public High School planning to pursue the social sciences.

So, yeah. That’s about it. I really appreciate any guidance or commentary anyone has and I hope you have an awesome day. Leave me a link and I’d be happy to chance you back! Thank you!
…Is there a proper way to end these things?

Raise your SAT score to 2200+ and you should have a good shot. Chance me?

You seem like a very good student with strong ECs.

Tufts- Low Reach
Wesleyan- Low Reach
Hamilton- High Match
Oberlin- High Match
WUSTL- Reach

You seem to have looked at the NESCAC schools, so I think another good match for you would be to look at Bates or Bowdoin. Bates would be a match and Bowdoin probably a low reach.

Personally, I would focus your energy I making yourself seem different than every other motivated student.

Thanks, everyone, so far!
@poliscinerd12316 thank you for the suggestions! I actually had looked into both of those schools; I only ruled them out because they were a bit too small for me. I’m mainly looking at places with 3,000 undergrads and up.

I think you have a good chance at all these schools. You are well rounded and academically qualified. I agree with poliscinerd on the statuses.

You will need to read through the comments cause I got a 31 on ACT and I added some colleges (BostonU, UTAustin, Northeastern)

I think you have a great chance at the schools you mentioned and I am truly sorry for your loss. I think your essays will be important but I do think you’re in great shape. Maybe raise the SAT Math II score up just a tad?

Definitely ECs and essays matter a ton, and I think you’ve got that down! Your GPA sounds very solid too, anything from 3.7-3.8 is very competitive. I would just raise the SAT score a bit, get it over 2200 and you should be fine! Tufts should be a low reach for you

Excellent ECs! And your GPA honestly is not bad at all for most of the schools you’re applying to (though it might make Tufts a bit more of a reach than it might otherwise be). I’d recommend taking the SAT one more time in the fall, but even without that, you seem well-qualified. As someone said before, I feel like you just need to find a way to really stand out, maybe an atypical or highly interesting essay?

You appear to be a passionate individual who has overcome a lot of adversity. The loss of a parent can be rough and I hope you are doing well. As for your chances, I think you are a solid applicant at the school listed. You’re GPA is not as bad as you may feel it is. Even a 3.7 in junior year is good, especially with the explanation provided by your guidance counselor about the slight dip. Whichever school you like more, either Tufts University or Wesleyan, I’d place the ED there and an EA on the other. Good luck!
