Here are my stats:</p>

Doing the IB diploma at the moment. HL Econ - lvl 7, Computer Science - lvl 6 and Physics -lvl 6. SL Maths - lvl 7, English and Spanish lvl 5
Overall: 36/42
for my GCSEs, I got 5 A/A</em>s and 4 Bs

CRICKET:
-Represented the national Hong Kong Cricket team (once in U13, twice U15, selected for U17 squad but couldnt go) and played internationally with 7 teams all over Asia.
-Travelled on tours to Malaysia and Nepal and got paid by the HK Cricket Association
-Gained recognition in several newspaper articles about our upcoming tours/results.
-School Team throughout high school
-Local league (U17s) - runner's up twice
-Saturday league (Mens) - represented a club
-Coach Cricket to young kids every week (voluntarily and as a paid job)
-Won 'Man of the Match' awards at the Junior Cricket Sixes</p>

<p>TENNIS:
-HK National Tennis - ranked in the top 25 in HK U18s
-A grade school varsity team
-Captain
-Play for a club
-Won several trophies for club tournaments in both singles and doubles
-Coached young kids</p>

<p>SQUASH:
-Participated in various international U17 tournaments
-Play in the HK Squash league (winter and summer) for a club (Mens team) and won several trophies
-Got sponsored by the chairman of the club I play for (recieved professional training)
-Participated in numerous charity tournaments - came in the newspaper
-Founded the school Squash team at school - captain
-Squash Committee of club - organised a tournament
-Wrote several articles about/promoting Squash for the club magazine
-Oragniser of a charity tournament in school</p>

<p>KARATE:
-Trained for 7 years and I am a black belt
-Won a medal at a free-sparring tournament
-Coach Karate to kids for free</p>

-Internships during two summers

<p>I currently have 5 leadership positions at school - 2 major ones</p>

<p>We can’t really give you an accurate chance if you have no idea what your GPA is. Michigan’s two most important criteria are GPA and test scores. </p>

<p>I would say you are a reach simply because of your out of state and you have some what low (for Michigan at least) test scores. Maybe even a match, but if you have a stellar GPA then things might be different.</p>

<p>WolfPackFan - I have a rising trend in terms of grades from year 10 onwards. I just found out that my GCSE GPA (year 11 grades) is 6.85/8 on our system. As for senior grades, I am predicted 36/42 for IB which percentage wise is around 86%. Does that help?

<p>how does this stack up? im from singapore. my stats are 2180 on sat 1, with a O-level scores - 3A1s, 4A2s, 1B3. wonder how is this computed?</p>

<p>^^I agree. Even with a great SAT that GPA is going to make it tough.</p>

i have a feeling you’re going to be waitlisted or rejected unless you have a really high gpa.
this is just based on ur SAT and im presuming ur international… so u never know though</p>

<p>yoonstar, thanks for the reply. I have looked into my gpa scores and my GPA for year 11: 6.85/8. For my senior year in which i am doin ib, i have scored 83%. does that help?
