The ivies will be pretty hard with a 3.6 uw GPA, especially since you are international, but if you really want to, you might be able to do that, and write some killer essays, perhaps relating to chess? Just a thought. However, you are a very competitive applicant for the other schools you listed, so I think they are low reaches, only because your GPA is low. You have great ECs and your test scores are right in the ballpark for the colleges you mentioned.

@IAmTheGOAT Oh of course, I wont get any ivy - was just mentioned them cus the previous commenter mentioned dartmouth. Would you mind being specific with the colleges because some like CMU are v hard with my score but others like purdue are relatively easier. And yes I will chance back asap

I think you have excellent chances for all of the listed schools. However, the admissions process for those schools is very competitive but I think you have very interesting E.C’s that help you distinguish yourself among other applicants. Being a stellar chess player like yourself shows commitment and appreciation to the game. Its also very noteworthy. I think you can into any one of the schools you’ve listed!

You have pretty good scores! The only thing I see holding you back is your GPA (which is on the lower end for schools like UMich) but you’re very distinguished in your ECs. Write some rockin’ essays!
