Please chance me, I will chance back

Hi,
I am a rising senior and am starting to get pretty anxious about college. I've always achieved my goals, but I see all these amazing applicants getting rejected here on CC.

Ethnicity: Asian American (Indian Guy)
School: Tiny very academically strong private (if it helps, its a feeder to stanford, having sent 39 kids there in the past 4 years)
Income bracket: High
Rank: n/a

SAT: 2320 (first try)

AP Scores: My school doesn't offer AP courses, so I did these all myself. I guesttimated the last 4. Chemistry (4), Micro (5), Macro (5), Lang and Comp (5), Calc BC (5), USH (5), Spanish Lang (5), Physics B (4), Psychology (5)

SAT II: Chemistry (760), Math 2 (800), Literature (720), USH (780), Spanish w/Listening (800), Physics (740)

GPA: Attended multiple high schools, so I'll just give unweighted. 3.85. Will rise to 3.91 after first semester senior year, if that helps.

ECs:
Football (3 years varsity, Captain)
Baseball (1 year JV, 3 years Varsity, Captain)
Soccer (2 years Varsity)
Tennis (5 years recreational, few USTA tournament wins)
Mock Trial (3 years President)

FBLA (2 years, Chapter Founder, President)
Piano (nothing serious, its fun and relaxes me)
Boy Scouts (5 years, Eagle Scout)

Memberships:
NHS (2 years)
Cum Laude Society

Achievements:
National AP Scholar
National Merit Semifinalist
Congressional Youth Gold Medal
Siemens Regional Finalist
USAMO (10th grade)
Winner of very prestigious nationwide essay contest (decline to state here for privacy)
Scholastic Art and Writing Silver Key Award

Summer:
Before 10th: Internship with Private Equity firm in New Delhi, learned C++ and Javascript
Before 11th: Oxbridge Program at Cambridge, Boy Scout Camp, Baseball Camp at IMG Academies

Miscellaneous: Know 4 languages (English, Spanish, Hindi, Mandarin Chinese)
Participated in United States Senate Youth Program
Wrote a book (didn't do so hot)

I think my ECs are good, and I think the recs and essays will be too
But, what concerns me is my GPA. I know it may seem asinine to be worrying about a ~3.8, but on threads here I see a litany of 4.0s getting rejected from great schools.

^Trololol.

Looks like you have a pretty interesting application. some excellent awards, and great SAT score. Very solid shot at Harvard, Stanford, Duke, Columbia, Wharton, Northwestern, Good bet at WUSTL, Johns Hopinks, UC berkeley, and in at Tulane, U of Mich, USC and rest of UCs. Honestly, I think you will get into at least one of the universities in the first group. Expect some nice merit money and other offers.

Could you let me know the name of the ssay contest, my son is still in 8th grade, i would like to try next year when he is in high school, you can send the name to ramapriyan@**********

Thank you all for the input on essay contests.

Wow your application looks great! you have amazing ECs and awards so you are more than fine at any of those schools!
Your GPA is fine, nothing to worry about considering everything else you just postes.

Chance back?
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1348924-chances-ivy.html</a></p>

Goodness… this is a super-super impressive resume.
I would think don’t worry about the GPA, especially with all the rest to boost it. Plus, all those self-studied APs look really, really nice.
I think you have a good chance at most of the schools (minus the potshot Ivies+Stanford), but to be honest I think you have a much better chance than a lot of people.

Chance me back?

http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1345137-take-chance-chance-me-d-hyp-stanford-mit-columbia-some-more.html</a></p>

IndianPride haha Overall, your resume is impressive. Once your GPA goes up, you will definitely be a very strong candidate for the schools you want.

Harvard: seems like a good fit, but its Harvard so you can never be sure
Stanford: i think you have a good chance, especially considering the “feeder school” status
Wharton: reach but you never know
Columbia: 50-50
Northwestern: good odds
Duke: doable
UCs (Berkeley, LA): EASY
Johns Hopkins: good bet
WUSTL: strong chances
U of Mich: EASY
Tulane: EASY
USC: EASY

chance me back!
