Please chance me for:
Harvard
Princeton
Yale
BC
Dartmouth
NYU
Columbia
Cornell
Chicago
Stanford
Georgetown
Brown
Penn

Thank you!

Harvard, Princeton, Yale will clearly be tough…especially because you’re an asian male. NYU will be a target…no problem there. Same wtih Chicago and Georgetown. Cornell and Penn will be the easier Ivys for you to get into…Stanford will be tough as well. Chicago, NYU, Georgetown, BC will all send you good news I’m sure.

That is a nice SAT score, but i dont know if your grades really correspond with it. How far you go in Intel will definitely make a difference, and that entrepreneurial business should be continued, that looks very very good for business schools. HYPS seem to still be reaches, the other best business schools I see there (Columbia, Chicago, Penn) seem to still be reaches, but if that entrepreneurial business becomes more successful they might fairly reasonable reaches if not high targets.

Chance me back? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/898730-chances-duke-penn-cornell.html</a></p>

Thanks for the advice, im looking for a few more helpful posts.

SAT & EC’s are solid…Maybe just boost your GPA a bit? You have a decent chance!

I’m not sure what i can do to boost my GPA  I’m in my fourth quarter junior year, and have gotten As this year. What can i do to make up for the previous years?

Dear prospect8,

As you requested, I incorporated your scores, GPA, leadership, and extracurriculars into a systematically devised function of calculatory means that I developed to precisely calculate percent chance of admission to various universities in the US and abroad. The results are as follows (these are the percent chances that you will be accepted at the below named institutions of higher educatory education):

Harvard College: 5.198%
Princeton University: 10.775%
Yale University: 7.382%
Boston College: 67.209%
Dartmouth College: 17.833%
New York University: 87.000%
Columbia University: 11.008%
Cornell University: 18.317%
Chicago = more specific university name required
Stanford University: 7.564%
Georgetown University: 31.444%
Brown University: 9.816%
Penn = more specific university name required

Please note that these are only derived from my own personal formula which seems to accurately predict admissions chances pretty well. Hope that helps!

Please NOTE: I have been receiving numerous requests for me to apply my equation to “chance” various applicants. I am more than happy to help! That’s the entire reason I created this formula! However, I have to categorize every EC, activity, award, GPA, test score, etc. AND calculate everything by hand. For each institute of higher education, this takes about 8 minutes, depending on how many ECs the applicant has and how long it takes me to decipher their post, e.g. if it is written in paragraph form. Therefore, from this point on, I am going to have to request that out of fairness to the other applicants and so that I have adequate time to accurately “chance” everyone who requests that I do so, please present your information in an organized manner (much the way that this applicant did) and limit the number of universities to TEN (if you have more than 10, I’ll try to get to all of them, but if there are certain ones you want to make sure that I chance, please indicate this). Also, for best results, please include the entire name of the institution; I do not know if “Penn” means Penn State or UPenn. Thank you!

Thank you newstudent12. Any other suggestions would be most helpful.

Dear prospect8,

I do my calculations by hand (I use a calculator to do the actual mathematical processes, but I mean that I “plug in” the values into my formula by hand and solve the DE), and I am confident that my calculations were accurate. If you were expecting higher numbers, it may be due to the fact that extracurriculars are largely grouped, as I simply don’t have the statistical data needed to personalize my formula to every extracurricular or award possible. GPA bears the most weight for several of these institutions, so your 3.71 UW GPA most likely resulted in a score lower than you anticipated. Sorry if this is not what you expected—who knows, you may get accepted into every school you applied to—but this is what my formula gave me. Best of luck!

Also, I forgot to add that at several universities you listed (Harvard College, Princeton University, and Yale University to name a few), you would have to have near perfect scores and GPA as well as a dozen truly exceptional ECs to ever get above a 28% chance of admittance at those institutions due to their highly selective nature… So, do NOT become discouraged!

I appreciate your comments. But, i’m not sure there is anything i can do to raise my GPA now. I have steady As this year.

Is there anything that can be done to “fix” my gpa (from freshman year); I have As junior year and will continue through senior year.

Harvard- reach for anybody who doesn’t have 2400 SAT, a few original, unique exceptional activities, and near perfect GPA
Princeton- same
Yale- same
BC- target
Dartmouth- probably reach
NYU- target
Columbia- target
Cornell- target
Chicago- target
Stanford- low reach
Georgetown- isk
Brown- low reach
Penn- UPenn, low reach. penn state, definitely in. good luck! u’ll get in to a few of those schools for sure

btw i meant idk for georgetown lol

Thanks^^

Im still wondering if there is any way to improve my GPA besides getting As this year and next.

NewStudent - why don’t you create an Excel spreadsheet or a program in Visual Basic to automate the process?

And I kinda hijacked with this post, so I am chancing you right now.
Harvard - High Reach
Princeton - High Reach
Yale - High Reach
BC - Match (it’s tough to get in here w/o a legacy hook, so I wouldn’t be surprised if you were rejected)
Dartmouth - Low Reach
NYU - Match
Columbia - Low Reach - possible Match
Cornell - Match
Chicago - Match
Stanford - Mid Reach
Georgetown - Match/GoodorHigh Match
Brown - Low Reach
Penn - Low Reach

Thanks^^
