Nice stats!!! Although your ECs may be a little cliche, except for the internship and research, your chances are very high! You are a match at all the schools you’ve mentioned, even Duke. I believe that if you strengthen your ECs a bit (more research &experience) you’ll be accepted to the other Ivys as well, maybe even Stanford, which is known for its biomedical engineering program!
Good luck!!

I’m sure you know your stats are outstanding. Your ECs are good (better than mine) but not as outstanding as your GPA and standardized test scores. Why did you take AP German? Your French seems solid though, and the paid internship is nice.

You have a great shot at all of these. I’d say BU and Baylor are low matches for you. Texas, as an auto admit, is obviously a safety. Write good essays and Rice and Vanderbilt will like you. Show interest in WashU to avoid the wait list. Johns Hopkins and Duke are also competitive but you’re in the running. UVA is tough out of state, but I’d say it’s a high match or low reach for you. Doable.

Chance me back please?

I took AP German to possibly get credit for it in college (since I’m fluent).
I appreciate your help!! @glittervine
and I will definitely chance you back!

Your numbers are amazing. From my school’s standards, this is Ivy standard. Im wondering as to why you’re not looking at the elite schools?

Wow, your scores are superb!! A perfect ACT opens a lot of doors. Your ECs are a bit ‘al over the place’- I can’t really see a specific theme like a lot of colleges are looking for, but with your numbers it really doesn’t matter. You have a great chance at all these schools. Duke will be a little harder but I would say you have an incredibly good chance. Might I ask why you’re not applying to more elite schools?

Chance me back?

Thank you!! At a couple of those schools, BU, Baylor, and Rice, I am planning on applying to the BS/MD programs, which are extremely competitive. The other schools also have a great reputation in the medical field. I didn’t think I really had much of a chance getting into an Ivy (because at my school and surrounding schools the top 30 have stats very similar to mine), so that’s why I didn’t include them on my list. @oregon5s‌ @cassa22‌

Bro youre academics are on point! I wouldnt doubt your accaptance to duke or wa st louis. However i think St Louis may be you one mid reach.
chance me?

you have good ec’s and awesome scores. i think you have good chances everywhere u apply

@junsin “Bro”, you have no idea what you’re talking about. Duke is much more selective than WUSTL. They’re not even in the same league.

@Innominata hahahaha BRO its funny because i know many people with less-than-spectacular specs that got in. but yes, duke is better than st louis in some aspects (sports mainly)

Wash U in St. Louis: Match
Vanderbilt: Match
Johns Hopkins: Match
University of Virginia: Match
Rice:Match
Boston University: Safety

Chance me back at: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1675275-chance-me-for-ed-tufts.html#latest

u seem like an excellent candidate for all the schools u listed. i would recommend doing EA to virginia so u have a backup ahead of time to fall back on in case something doesnt work out. thanks for chancing me and good luck in ur college app process!

Thanks @ydog77‌ and @FischerDude97‌! I will probably apply EA to all schools that allow me to.

You are a match/low reach for all of these schools. I don’t know about the bs/MD programs since those are ultra competitive. Especially rice’s program.

With your test scores and GPAs, you will definitely be ahead of the curve for all of these schools. Have you considered any of the Ivies, or MIT or Stanford? I see no problem with your ECs as they are wonderfully “complete” with a respectable number of them pertaining to your major. You’re definitely a match for all of the schools you listed.

Thanks! any advice is appreciated :)
