- Did internship at IBM concerning international rights and uses.
- Did internship at yahoo concerning advertisement.
- Have worked as a soccer referee for 3 years.

Recs:
-One from my Spanish teacher, that should be really good
-One from my History teacher that should also be good because I was able to right a pretty convincing letter of why i choose her to do mine.
-Counselor recommendation should also be very good as our family are very close and get together often outside of school.

Cons: Been to the principle's office mutliple times in high school (around 7 times from various things such as fights/ordering 100 boxes of pizza to the school and such but max punishment was detention for 2 days)... I know my test scores aren't great, but hopefully other areas of my application will make up for it.

Colleges planning to apply

University of Texas
Rice
UPenn
Dartmouth (legacy, not sure if that helps)
Texas A&M (legacy, parent is former faculty)
Yale (legacy also...My dad is a teacher so he needed a PHD, hence all the colleges)
Stanford
Berkley
Brown
Northwestern

buuuummmmppp

I gotta say, the idea of ordering hundreds of pizzas is hilarious. Your scores are pretty good, though schools will recognize that you’re a native speaker and discount your 800. Courseload and GPA look very good, but your disciplinary problems might be an issue. Also, your ECs are pretty blah.

UTexas: no idea
Rice: high match
UPenn: reach
Dartmouth: reach
A&M: no idea
Yale: high reach
Stanford: high reach
Berkeley: reach
Brown: reach
Northwestern: reach

Good luck, amigo!

Do you know what your UW GPA is? Also, while your 12th grade schedule is great, how rigorous is your 9-11th grade schedule?

Thanks for the chance misterg! No idea what my UW gpa is, and yes my four years have been really rigorous similar to 12th grade.

UTexas: Not sure what you mean, which University of Texas?
Rice: high match/low reach
UPenn: reach
Dartmouth: reach
A&M: safety
Yale: high reach
Stanford: high reach
Berkeley: reach
Brown: reach
Northwestern: reach

If you can improve your SAT to around 2200, you’d have a much better shot at all of these.

Well, grades look good, test scores average. The disciplinary issues might get you in trouble, and definitely make it harder to predict where you will get in.

Rice: High match
UPenn: Low reach
Dartmouth: Reach
Texas A&M: Match
Yale: Reach, maybe a low reach because of your dad.
Stanford: High reach–wouldn’t count on it at all.
Berkley: Reach
Brown: Reach
Northwestern: Reach

Good luck!

This is tough…I definitely think your good for Texas A&M…by UTexas, do you mean Houston? The rest are reaches because you don’t live in California for Berkeley. I’m not sure how much the legacy will help with Yale or Dartmouth, but those and Rice are probably the lower reaches
