<p>Hi. First-time poster, long time stalker. I'm currently taking A Level at a university college.

<p>GPA : N/A</p>

<p>School type: Studying my pre-u in a university college (~10,000)</p>

<p>Major: Mechanical Engineering</p>

<p>EC : (I had a break between starting my Pre-U and ending high school. My ECs aren't that good :/ )
- Student Council board (A Level)
- Martial Arts Club (President in last high school year)
- National Service program (3 months after high school)
- Started a project that teaches English to kids in urban poverty (ongoing)
- Debate Club ('13-'14)
- Ran an oral cancer campaign lasting a few months with Malaysia's Cancer Institute

- Piano (I kinda learned it on my own, couldn't really afford lessons after grade 5. I play it as a hobby)
- Caroling (I'm actually a Buddhist. We raised quite a lot caroling in homes and shopping complexes)

<p>Essays: Okay. I wrote about the National Service program and Malaysia post-MH370.</p>

<p>P.S: Am I aiming too high?</p>

<p>You are NOT aiming too high! Your composite SAT score is fantastic. Your ECs stand out. Being a female interested in engineering will DEFINITELY help you with these schools as well. The only one that stands out to me as being a reach is Northwestern. Even though you may see being Chinese as not adding diversity to a class, you certainly are an interesting prospective student. If I were you, I would apply early to Cornell. I know it isn’t on your list, but it seems like a reach that may be attainable for you. Good luck!!</p>

<p>Your stats are awesome!! I agree with steerstraight, you aren’t aiming too high. UCSB would be your safety, although I’m not sure how they handle international applicants. You may want to add Tufts to your list for engineering, they have some insane programs and internship opportunities. That’d probably be a match for you.
