Extended Essay Subject: World Studies (It’s on a topic that combines my passions for film and sociology - might submit as part of my application if I can get it done in time)
Junior Year Final Score: 35 (out of 42), ToK - A (The first year of the IB program was daunting, to say the least, but I’m finally catching up)
My grades have since risen, and I’m being predicted a 38-40/42. My mid-year exam score will hopefully be around 40-41/42.
APs: English Language and Composition - 4 (didn’t study for this, lol)
Anticipated Major: Double Major - Film & Physics/Astrophysics
ECs: National Mathematics Olympiad - Gold medallist, International Benchmark Test (English) - Highest score in the Middle East, gold/silver/bronze medals in multiple Olympiads (English, Science, Cyber), DELF (Level A1 - 90%), National Genius Search Examination - Certificate of Excellence, KenKen International Championship - bronze medal, World Scholar’s Cup Regionals (Senior Division) - 16 medals (individual) - 3 trophies for Overall Team Performance - 2nd Overall Scholar (individual) - invited to Globals but couldn’t attend due to other commitments, multiple sports awards for heptathlon, athletics, and soccer, including first runner-up in a girls’ national league, been doing theater for a long time now - lead in 3 plays and supporting roles in others, bunch of robotics-related activities, participated in an inter-school (team) science research fair - came in 1st place, ran for Student Council in freshman year and won, been doing MUN for 3 years - 5 conferences, guitar/vocals/music-related ECs, dance team, made a bunch of short films with friends (just 'cause I enjoy it), lots of volunteering, e-sports, placed first/second in 2 national short-story writing contests, etc.
Past summer: Interned at a local news station - helped write/edit the news for 2 weeks, learnt some interesting things - fun experience!
Other: Female, Indian. Have taken a bunch of online courses on topics ranging from forensic psychology to the history of superheroes. I’ll be submitting an arts portfolio (film) to schools that don’t already require me to do so.
